Noah Hines – “Lately”

Luminatrix – “Among Us”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From PR:  The writer was security at a night club where a lot of people overdosed on synthetic drugs. Security leader would resuscitate them and after coming back to life, the people often behaved very differently than before. The writer considered the energies of this process and what it could mean to move through the veils between life and death and then back again. Also considered why people give up control of themselves or work control others. The writer approached the song wondering how many varied and complex chord progressions could coexist within one key without modulating. Could that be the musical equivalent of changing personalities while remaining technically the same person?

Garvie – “Default”

Country: UK

Genre: Pop Rock

Words From the Artist:  “I like to make music that nods to the past in a fun way whilst sounding modern at the same time.” Garvie explains. “While it’s fairly tongue-in-cheek lyrically, Default is ultimately about feeling obsolete and replace-able in a relationship, which is why it uses quite a lot of computer-based references. It’s also got a lot of parallels with all of the recent developments in AI, which have definitely made me feel like I might be obsolete soon as a human artist!”

Free Under Fire – “Airplane Over Texas”

Country: Canada

Genre: Rock

Words From PR: Summer single “Airplane Over Texas” was inspired by a tongue in cheek reference to ZZ Top and the intent to have the listener liberate themselves emotionally in times of distress. They capture that with their signature sound in a bar floor moving, Trans-Am burn out romp that leaves you feeling free.
