HAYS – “Who Am I”

Country: Russia

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist:   “The story of the music in the Silhouettes Album spills out the long-boiled experience of this painful, but necessary process of identity transformation. Necessary to move on, necessary to rebirth. The breaking point to release all that had been accumulated throughout the years can be triggered by various events – the death or birth, loss or gain, found or lost relationship. The only way to get out of the darkness created in the mind is to follow the signs given by the heart. This is when the transformation of identity, through the released and processed pain, leads to the change of personality that now creates new personal reality. “

Knightingale – “Beatle Boy”

Country: Singapore

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Singaporean garage rockers Knightingale go full punk on Beatle Boy, the official release-day single from their forthcoming EP, Big Wave. Beatle Boy combines tireless drumming, deft guitar riffing, and powerful vocals, evoking the early days of thrash metal mixed with punk rock aesthetics. Knightingale produced this song in their own studio”

Alonso Madero – “Faded Sun”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “It is a song about someone that has been through a lot in life, and is basically blinded by their own pain and problems to the love and support being offered by some one else that is close to them. The lyrics are written from the point of view of the one offering help.”

Joy Weather – “Run To You”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Run to You is a high energy summer rock encapsulation of the tug between the emotional and rational parts of your brain. It’s about waking up from a dream where exactly what you wanted to happen happens, and juxtaposing that with the reality of the situation all over a straight-ahead, huge rock chorus. We wrote, mixed, and mastered it all at our home studio”

J. Graves – “Bested / Ass U Me”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “New singles Bested and Ass u Me both brim with unconcealed turmoil. Bested is thick and bassy and mired in solitude, while its counterpart Ass u Me deals more literally with the realization that a long-term relationship is nearing its end.”

Thieving Motives – “Senses”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “”Senses” screams down with heavy searing riffs and a somber yet encouraging message about our dystopian world.”

Leaching – “Radiate”

Country: Australia

Genre: Post-Punk

From the Artist: “Lyrically the track obliquely makes reference to the use and spreading of misinformation in the modern era. Musically it takes cues from the post-punk and proto-goth movements. This track is accompanied by a psychedelic film clip that elevates the track and takes the viewer on a journey through space, time, and reality – the astronauts falling in the clip allude to conspiracy minded folks questioning the moon landing being just one visual connection to the lyrics.”

The Midwich Affair – “Energy”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “ENERGY has a fresh up-tempo feel but and a definite nod to 90’s indie girl bands.”

G.E.R.D. – “My Company”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “Super fast hardcore punk with lyrics founded in anti-corporate America sentiment.”

Strange Bouquets – “Mirrors”

Country: US

Genre: Garage Rock

From the Artist: “‘Mirrors’ is an antidote for the pandemic and what spurred from it, an existential examination,” Morison explains. “For the first time, I think the world stopped long enough for us to take a good look at ourselves. All those thoughts and feelings that were pushed aside on our day-to-day grind came to the foreground, and we could no longer deny our own reflection.”

Lazy Guns – “Runaway”

Country: Australia

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “‘Runaway’ is the debut single from the Sunshine coast rock, Lazy Guns. Lazy Guns have recorded and completed a full length rock album that will be released in coming months.”

Scoobert Doobert – “4:20 pm”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “Scoobert Doobert returns to release another catchy track to ease these troubled times, out on Beformer Records. His music is currently in a Coors Light TV Campaign across Canada, and he produced the upcoming single Dream Story (夢のはなし) for the J-pop band CHAI that will be released on Sony Japan on August 3rd, which is also in the feature film Child of Fish (さかなのこ) out in Japanese theaters on September 1st. 4:20 pm is a catchy ode to allowing yourself to feel good and having each other’s back.”

Beat Radio – “Family Name”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “With a textured sound that splits the difference between lo-fi indie-pop, folk jangle, and emo vulnerability, Beat Radio grew out of Sendrowitz’s years as a mainstay in the early 2000s New York singer-songwriter scene. You don’t juggle songwriting with raising five kids while recording demos in a laundry room if you don’t believe every word, and on Real Love, Beat Radio’s sixth album (and first since 2006 with founding member Philip Jimenez), it’s clear that Sendrowitz does. ”

Hugmynd – “Glass”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “The track is an observation of the natural environment particularly in Cornwall where I live. The structure of the lyrics comes from reading William Blake poetry. The Chorus is a separate subject just to the verse and is about telling someone that you believe in them, you still have to leave but you still care for them. The subject matter for the song came about whilst actually writing the lyrics and working on the melody. It just kind of fell together in one writing session.”

Allatoona Houseboat – “Buttercream”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “This song is about realizing you’re in a bad situation, leaving and then thinking about going back.”
