The Dirty Nil has just dropped another track from their upcoming album, due out on July 25th. The fourth single from The Lash, “Rock ‘n Roll Band” is a high energy alt rock song that serves as a salute to the touring bands while airing out the harsh realities of the industry.
“I don’t remember what particular aspect of the industry had got my goat that day, but I’d worked myself up to a fine lather,” Frontman Luke Bentham recalls. “I blasted out the whole song in 30 minutes and instantly felt better.”
“Rock N’ Roll Band” was the first song Luke wrote for the new album, and the result is an energetic alt rock/punk gem. With a huge chorus, relatable lyrics (at least for anyone who has ever been in a band), and a tongue-in-cheek dose of reality, it’s another explosive Nil track.
“Though the song is pretty negative, it makes me happy,” Bentham says. “This one is for all the road dogs – we salute you.”
