Toronto-based band Heavy Sweater mixes emo, indie rock, and power-pop styles to create their sound. They’ve just released their latest single “Real Good Guy” ahead of their upcoming debut album SO SAD!
This is the third release from the upcoming full-length, and is an incredibly fun, catchy song, with a boppy alt-rock style and an underlying emo sound bound to appease all of us Elder Millennials. Produced by Alex Edkins of METZ, “Real Good Guy” is a “tongue-in-cheek look at the type of self-obsessed person we all know (and maybe sometimes see within ourselves),” according to the band. Pairing an infectious sound with gritty guitar and great tongue-in-cheek lyrics, the song has all the making of an alt-rock hit.
