Words From the Artist: I wrote these lyrics while thinking about how we often box ourselves into our houses and live through a screen. It was kind of how Thoreau in Walden watched his neighbor who was digging his grave from the time he are born, just building up for the sake of building. The chorus goes “sitting in your coffin house just waiting for a genie to appear, to give you a box full of everything and take away all of your fear.” It is just a song to get moving, get looking around and be aware of the finite nature of time. I use electric violin forward, reversed, a whammy guitar solo, a driving beat and think I do well with mixing a few genres together to make some music reminiscent of Beck, Spoon, Blur, Ghostland Observatory.
