The Land League – “Stoned and Reckless”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Stoned and Reckless sets out to capture the electric feeling of spending a night getting cross faded in a bar (a local legion hall to be exact) that you don’t entirely belong in but the night isn’t going to end any time soon. Lying within the intersection of their influences, The Land League offers listeners a modern energetic sound which strives to craft a unique genre on its own terms.”

Speed of Life – “Regan & Carter”

Country: UK

Genre: Pop Punk

From the Artist: “Speed Of Life are the fictional band central to Nick Griffiths’ new book DeadStar, which recounts the mystery disappearance of their frontman and vocalist Garth Tyson. According to the book, ‘Regan & Carter’ was their debut single, released in 1979 and performed in a long-lost episode of The Old Grey Whistle Test. Inspired by the cult UK TV cop show The Sweeney, its chorus includes the crime-fighting duo’s car number plate!”

3rd Deck – “In Repair”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “In Repair speaks to how we all struggle with our emotional well being at times and in the process of trying to fix ourselves, feel like we are ‘in repair’. This is track #3 from our debut self-tilted EP co-produced with Soren Lonnqvist at Studio Downe Under (Abbotsford) and mastered by Grammy/Juno nominated mastering engineer Greg Mindorff at Suite Sound Labs (Vancouver).”

Joey Jane – “What If This Was The End?”

Country: US

Genre: Grunge

From the Artist: “The song is about perception taking a step back to realize and understand the things in front of you and the world around you. It’s not meant to be political but more of a general idea for humanity. The premise of the song simply put is, if today is the last day we had on earth, what would you do? How would you react? Suddenly war, injustice, racism, money, power, to petty arguments between family and friends would simply become irrelevant. Begging the question, what’s the point of all of it in the first place. In the last moments of life none of these things would be important to anyone so why don’t we all act accordingly during life instead of working so hard to try to divide and destroy what we have while we’re here.”

Blonde Diamond – “Strange Times”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Lyrically, the song ‘Strange Times’ takes place in a fantastical parallel universe, so it only made sense that the video should represent that. We chose to use a bright and dreamy palette to provide a luxurious backdrop for our characters to obliviously dance away on. As it becomes clear through elements of foreshadowing that there is a clear impending doom, we ignore the signs and carry on. In the background as we see chaos and destruction unfold, we try to keep the dream alive until we become swallowed and it reveals that the universe goes on without us, unaffected. Strange times indeed.”

Ugly Mothers – “Armistice”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Spaghetti-Western Garage-Rock group Ugly Mothers return to post-pandemic life armed with boisterous, gritty and historically inspired new single ‘Armistice’. Taken from the forthcoming EP ‘Garden of Eden’ which is set for release at the end of April. ‘Armistice’ is packed with delicate melodies, mammoth fuzz, twang infused guitar and their signature sour, yet storytelling lyrics.”

Claudia Lenti – “Fight To Survive”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “‘Fight to Survive’ is about pushing through those difficulties. This song will take you through the journey of lessons, disappointment, renewed hope and the will to want to live and not just survive. It is about making it through, wanting to live and doing whatever it takes to get there. It shares a motivational and relatable message about struggle and triumph. It is about not giving up. “

Eli Dasilva – “Don’t Tell Me”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “This song is an indie rock tune about my struggles with wanting to be sympathetic to what’s happening in the world, but my own problems feeling more real that others. It’s a kind of a self dialogue song.”

Together Pangea – “What It’s Like”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: ” Taken from the DYE sessions and written by Erik Jimenez, “What It’s Like” finds the band exploring feeling detached and the fear of isolation. And of the sound, Jimenez says, “’What It’s Like’ is vintage Together Pangea, like the Violent Femmes covering Del Shannon at a dive bar on Venice beach.”

Paul J Van Cleave – “I Dream of Vodka”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “I usually don’t write songs that are guitar duet and solo heavy. I took exception to that with this one and I took an “Iron Maiden meets Bad Religion” approach in writing this particular song.”

The Franklin Electric – “Borderline”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “’Borderline’ is about how we deal with change in the world and inside ourselves. The entire planet seems to be on the brink something. Almost feels like the world is going through puberty and we can find beauty in these crazy times.”

Yotam Ben Horin – “Young Forever” (feat Jim Adkins)

Country: Israel

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “‘Young Forever’ is an open letter I wrote to my younger self. When Covid hit and I was stuck in Israel, I decided to digitize all of my VHS and MiniDV tapes. I went on a trip down memory lane when I rewatched some of them and was reminded of what I felt at the time, living with not a worry in the world other than the love of making music. I was instantly inspired to write the song. It was also the last song written for the album. Sometimes, we get so caught up in life that we forget to step away from it for a second and look around to see what really matters to us. When I got into Flying Blanket Studios (Mesa, AZ) in April of 2021, I let my friend Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World) know that I was in town and he offered to stop by the studio and say hi since he and producer Bob Hoag are also friends. While we were trying to figure out which day would be best for him to come over, I asked him about the arrangement of the song ‘Young Forever’ since it didn’t have a bridge and was really short. He put it all together really quickly over the phone and we went ahead and recorded it with his suggestions. When he showed up at the studio, I just had to put a guitar on his lap and have him play something.”

Carny – “I Will Say Yes”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “”I WIll Say Yes” is an emo-inspired anthem about the crash and burn ending that comes with most toxic relationships.”

No One Sphere – “Twin Coasts”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “I feel like both coasts are twins. They’re certainly not identical twins but they have enough similarities between them both to bring them together for a nice thanksgiving meal around the table with that drunk uncle who always shows up for the free booze”

Ghost Heart – “Drama Queen and the Greedy Three”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “This song will give you a nervous breakdown and then bring you back stronger by the end”
