Second Cities – “Blur In Time”

Country: UK

Genre: Pop Rock

From the Artist: “‘Blur In Time’ is a softer yet poignant track from the band, reflecting how depression and internal conflict can eat away at the time we spend with those we care about. With fruitful yet clean lyricism that depicts an understanding of the isolating feeling that accompanies poor mental health, echoing the “pain you’ve been through” and motifs of torment and bitterness”

Keanu Bicol – “don’t know”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “This song is about experiencing consequences that happen and not knowing the reason why they are happening in the first place. Unfortunate events happen and we don’t know why they are happening to us.”

East of Eado – “Face My Demons”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “A spacey alt-rock anthem about finally wanting to confront your demons”

Little Destroyer – “love and anarchy”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “I think love as a liberator is a radical idea because so much of our learned behaviour around love is to be possessive, scared, insecure. There’s a big difference between conditional and unconditional. As somebody who’s always had a really complicated relationship with relationships, it took crashing head first into a rock bottom before I did the work to learn how to love unconditionally. This song is a thank you to, and celebration of, the people (and person) who helped me get there, and still be here.”

Tanner Orange – “New Song”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “”New Song” by Tanner Orange sets the bar higher than ever in the 2022 alternative-rock music scene. Combining equal parts 90’s Britpop and power pop, “New Song” takes the listener on a journey through personal lyrics, heart-wrenching chord progressions, and earworm melodies, all while feeling fresh and relatable. Co-writer Jordan Brasko Gable (YUNGBLUD, WILLOW) deems it “The Song of Songs to end them all.”

The Racquet – “Arizona”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Uptempo indie rock, trippy mid section. Lyrically about a motorcycle accident and how it seems more real when it’s in a neighborhood instead of in the highway.”

Aidan Cross – “Night Shift” feat. Ben Ellis

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “It is the second single from my new album and a fresh take on punk rock music, pairing melancholic lyricism with high-octane indie rock. Taking influence from some of the biggest post-punk revival bands, such as The Fratellis and The Libertines, it’s relatively lo-fi as it was self-produced from my own bedroom in London, and is massively inspired by the experiences I had when moving here from Scotland last year. The song means a great deal to me and Ben, as it brought us even closer together as friends whilst working on it.”

Fear The Lions – “Lost In The Headlines”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “This song is about breaking through the noise of society. Not letting others dictate your path. Understanding that we are all flawed and make mistakes while encouraging the listener to not give up or be afraid to fail.”

Burn The Louvre – “Lost With You”

Country: Canada

Genre: Pop Rock

From the Artist: “”Lost With You” recaptures a fun day I had with my ex-girlfriend. It is meant to capture a short term relationship at the height of its arc. That period of time where everything is perfect. “Lost With You” celebrates love at its most carefree, where getting lost in the woods doesn’t sound so bad as long as you’re lost together.”

JOYLESS – “Cool?”

Country: Norway

Genre: Garage Rock

From the Artist:  “”Cool?” delivers the message of modern day society, where you`re not supposed to let your problems show, but rather create an image of a life in perfect harmony through social media. While the instrumental is happy, up-beat and a good vibe, the lyrical content of the song represents quite the opposite. We believe that this combination symbolises the same front that many people keep up in their life; happy at first glance, but once you dig deeper you`ll find out that this person has just as many issues as yourself.”

Sink In – “Bones”

Country: US

Genre: Rock

From the Artist: ““Bones” is the first introduction to the new EP ‘Welcome to Phantomland,’ which is a concept EP that sends the listener into the world of “Phantomland” – an amusement park where the listener’s thoughts and emotions come to life. The song talks about hw hypocrisy and corruption plague our society.”

Palm Tress in Moscow – “Drunk At The Airport”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “”Drunk at the Airport” is a jangle pop/roots rock/shoegaze amalgam; drawing inspiration from Hum, R.E.M., The Replacements, The Stone Roses, and The War on Drugs . Filled with introspective lyrics and big, chiming, shimmering, guitars. Lyrically, the song focuses on shedding the old rags of complacency and getting out of your own way. As people often build invisible walls and put intangible limitations on themselves; this song is an anthemic cry to break out of the purgatory limbo of life we often create for ourselves. The thick production provides a sense of surrealism over grounded lyrics (no pun intended).”

The Horn – “Passion”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “First up, we have ‘Passion’ mixed by Rich Turvey (Blossoms, Courteeners, The Coral), a kinetic indie-rock triumph that reflects the confident and cool nature of this time-travelling band. Taylor’s placid vocal is an oxymoronic contrast to the central lyric, “there’s a burning passion in me”, as well as the intricate-yet-gruff guitar melodies, retro-influenced synth undertones and the buoyant and groovy bass. The whole thing ebbs and flows, with highs instilled in the bright-eyed chorus and lows when the percussion drops away and the melodies are caught adrift in the unknown. Overall, the track sits somewhere between Television and Blossoms, a further testament to The Horn’s goal of bringing two indomitable eras of music together.”

Deep Sea Peach Tree – “You and McGregor”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Deep Sea Peach Tree is the New York based music project of local Kristof Denis with the help of friends Andrew Dell Isola and Zack Pockrose. Self described as “sleepy surf rock // aquatic sleep rock”, they blend a garage sound with influences from jazz standards, shoegaze, surf rock, and the occasional electronic sound. They also find themselves to be a surf rock band in New York City. As a surfer who grew up in the city, the melding of the city and the New York surf scene is a constant source of creativity for Kristof and the band.”

Jarpsy – “Green”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Born out of a place of frustration from guitarist Chris Macknight, Green started as a laid-back-but-emotional acoustic number. However, taking advice from frontman Jack ‘Shorty’ Johnson, it evolved into a grungy festival anthem of pure energy, carried by the bass prowess of Tom O’Donnell and the smash-grooves of Gary Keep. This song follows up on previous release ‘Desolate Towns’, with Jarpsy flexing their ’alternative’ muscles to their fullest, strongest extent: full of the unabashed, full-frontal sound Jarpsy have carved out a reputation for. Having been already tried and tested in the proving ground that is the Jarpsy live set, ‘Green’ boasts a chorus worthy of being screamed by endless gig and festival-goers, and bolsters the Mackem rockers reputation as one of the hottest up-and-comers on the tip of every industry tongue.”
