Dover Lynn Fox – “Winter Son”

Country: Canada

Genre: Americana

Words From the Artist/PR: When I sat down to write “Winter Son” my mind was a flurry and there was a heaviness in my chest. My father had been diagnosed with cancer and there were a lot of unknowns. My initial intention (though songwriting doesn’t always feel intentional to me) was to write a song about the sadness and fear that I felt. And then I began writing and a different story took form, one without fear or darkness, but instead light, connection and faith. It’s a tapestry of all of the places that are meaningful to me, and of all the people who I have loved the most, and the ones I wish I would have loved more.

Vonnie Kyle – “Something More”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Something More is a cinematic drama, wildly entertaining with some delightful wiggle room left for the listener’s own interpretation. Right out the gate, we’re drawn in with the picturesque line: Code, they say, she’s on her way, down to her rerun days. “A main character was killed off of my favorite show, and I was so invested that I felt a little devastated by it. I had to make her a character in my fictitious world.”

Bryce Fox – “Chemicals”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Fuzzed-out guitars and distorted, catchy vocals create an immersive experience, mirroring the disorienting effects of the substances at the heart of the narrative. Fox adds, “‘Chemicals’ is a personal song for me about my experience with ‘living on chemicals’ throughout my struggles of anxiety, depression, alcoholism amongst other things. The paranoia of the unknown is what charged me to write this song. The knowledge we are finding out every day is enough to cast a doomsday-amount of doubt for our future. I am optimistic, however! I just hope our health and livelihoods are becoming more of a priority than the dollar.”

Longfriend Timefriend – “Axis”

Country: US

Genre: Pop Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: Axis is about choosing to trust in the love you share with someone, leaving behind years of estrangement and messiness and the fears that came with them. It’s about coming home to the parts of yourself you left behind when you lost your best friend, and looking out at a newly bright, more at home in yourselves than you’d ever been before.

Pamphlets – “Wholesome Organic Convenience”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: This song is about all of the new corner stores/bodegas popping up around NYC and how we hate how manufactured they are and yet we can’t stop using them as they are so convenient.

The Sylvia Platters – “Kool Aid Blue”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Delving into themes of identity, depression, and substance use, “Kool Aid Blue” finds Canadian jangle pop band The Sylvia Platters at their most tuneful, impassioned, and heavy. The track packs in an armada of hooks, varying musical motifs, and swirling distortion over its three-minute runtime. The song is accompanied by an arresting and wistful video created by Daniel Sparrow.

Lorem Ipsum – “No Good”

Country: Netherlands

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: The angry girl who’d been a fool for too long is finally standing up for herself. ‘No Good’ is a punkrock redemption song about a failed fling which will get you off your feet and make you scream along. An uptempo indie rock treasure produced by BLANKO will be the first single of Lorem Ipsum’s debut album that will definitely make you want more. Honest cheeky lyrics, punchy rhythm and in-your-face riffs.

The First Kiss – “See The Sun”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: The First Kiss is a solo project by producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Raphael Aletti. Raph is one half of UK based RnB/indie pop duo Silk Cinema. This 3rd release is once again a one man band effort with Raph on all instruments and vocals, and even the cover art too. The song is influenced by bands like The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Diiv, the Beach Boys, and a little 80s metal too.

Griffin Benton – “Major Rotation”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: This is another single off of my upcoming album, In A Darker Shade. This song is about being in love with a girl that has a boyfriend and I think it’s got a real cool vibe to it!

Autosleeper – “Existence”

Country: Spain

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Autosleeper, the Barcelona-based band, brings us their new single “Existence”, marking their first release since their debut album “Ocean of Noise”. This new single continues the band’s exploration of merging post-punk with exciting sound textures.
