Deer Pilot – “Surveillance Van”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “”Surveillance Van”, a thrashing punk song, is the first single off of Deer Pilot’s second EP”

The Alive – “The Time”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “The Time is a song we wrote in my jam room at home. It’s about observations of people’s behavior; people going through challenging times and friendships falling apart because of those rough times. Our parents always taught us to learn lessons from mistakes of our own and from others, and we thought there was a valuable life lesson to be learned from a particular situation. It turned into one of our favorite songs. We started playing it live right away and we released it as soon as we could.”

Wolfgang Wallace – “The Buddy System”

Country: US

Genre: Post-Punk

From the Artist: “I LOVE this song. It is the epitome of me on my bullshit and I know it’s an acquired taste for most people. It’s never in Major, the lyrics are weird, the riff is modeled after film score chord progressions. The guitars are too heavy to be pop and too soft to be punk. This song is doomed, but it’s my favorite, and I don’t care!”

The Harlequins – “The Tower”

Country: US

Genre: Garage Rock

From the Artist: “The Tower” is bleak, sludgy psych rock, with a vibe as evil as the politicians it eviscerates. The song begins with the chiling lyric, “Wash the blood of the children / From your filthy hand.” In the wake of the horrific elementary-school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, it’s enough to stop any listener in their tracks. Harlequins singer-guitarist Michael Oliva actually wrote the song back in 2018, furious about political inaction in the wake of the Parkland high-school shooting, and all the moneyed interests standing in the way of reform while these preventable tragedies repeat themselves. Unfortunately, the song is as relevant today—four years later—as when Oliva wrote it.”

The Ruddy Ruckus – “Bloodbath”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Recovering from the fatal blow of a canceled national tour in 2020, the band have been keeping busy penning new songs in the contemporary stadium rock tradition that has come to define their sound. New EP “Hell On Earth” represents the band’s embrace of the darkness that has altered and defined the course of their lives featuring four songs soaked in melodrama, overdrive and tender revolution.”

Ryan Bourne – “Anemone Sound”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: ““I wanted to play with this metaphor of a lover being a siren or a sea god, a mythical psychedelic creature whose love took you through a kind of ego death,” says Ryan. “In this sense it could refer to spiritual love, spiritual transformation, the death of the old, rebirth of the new, illuminated self.”

Stone Beach – “Y2KOOL”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Y2KOOL is a garage take and the first song recorded of the album FUMES 2022. Exploring the playfulness of early punk while keeping the rhythm funky and dancing, Y2KOOL is a rap-style dance rock hit that’ll get stuck in your head without remembering any lyrics except “Like Damn!”

Franjapan – “Fingernails”

Country: Australia

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “Coming off the release of 2 singles in 2022, and 2 sold out Melbourne shows. Franjapan have come out with their 3rd single of the year ‘Fingernails.’ Reminiscent of early pop punk infused with dreamy harmonies and vocal lines, Franj has blended a unique cocktail of genres to create this punchy, catchy tune”

The Hangman’s Howl – “Won’t You Take Advantage of Me?”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist:  “As a 4 piece, we started playing together this year – after gigging in the North West of the UK, we’ve finally managed to get some studio time (Fox Barn Studios in Cheshire) and this is the first of a few tunes we’re getting ready for an EP. Inspiration-wise this one is probably inspired by Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, The Black Keys and The Last Shadow Puppets”

Sam Himself – “Never Let Me Go”

Country: Switzerland

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Sam Himself, Switzerland’s ‘King of Tears’ and New York’s leading Fondue Western™ baritone, shares Never Let Me Go, the first single of his upcoming second album (due in 2023), an electrifying ode to new beginnings.”

Shit Happens – “Yes Mom”

Country: Canada

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “most mothers tend to nag their children about manners, life choices etc…. Mine nags me about buying fluoride toothpaste with the back story about its conspiracies, among other.”

PawnShop Motel – “Don’t Panic”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Don’t Panic is a deep dive into personal anxieties. The song starts off trying to find balance from the pressures of relationships and chasing dreams. Throughout the song, Matt plays with the idea of giving in to the pressure but realizes his anxiety is the antagonist fighting against him. Trying to keep a level head and…don’t panic because the ones who are most important to you will be the ones that are there no matter what.”

The Dandys – “Take You Home”

Country: Australia

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “‘Take You Home’ is all about the thrill of the chase. The track’s bold bassline is submerged in an addictive alt-rock rhythm that blends beautifully with its softer hooks and a chorus swimming in pools of desire. The tune subtly creeps in and latches on, building toward an effortless drum and lead guitar breakdown that soars. It’s only fair to instantly hit repeat.”

Jovi Skyler – “Never Wanted”

Country: Australia

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Never Wanted is about classic alienation and the powerlessness over it. I gave it a real rock ’n’ roll flair, an impactful and assertive sound to express that statement.”

Mulberry Sky – “Have You Ever”

Country: Germany

Genre: Rock

From the Artist:  “Have you ever been afraid to do something because it doesn’t fit the norm? That’s what the song “Have You Ever” by Mulberry Sky fights against. It calls for thinking more about yourself, indulging in “little sins” every now and then, surrounding yourself with the people you love and just living into the day without having a guilty conscience.”
