The Mars McClanes – “The Liar”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “The Liar is about that guy at every party that dazzles the easily led with tall tales. Dropping famous names, hinting at wealthy, connected relatives—he’s the reason for our partner’s trust issues. You hate him, but not as much as he hates himself.”

Gunner Lee – “ELASTIKA!”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist:  “A fast paced rock song with inspiration from 90’s Brit Pop and 2000’s punk rock. This song is a tribute to my favorite band Elastica.”

PHI – “Etiquette”

Country: Germany

Genre: Indie rock

From the Artist: “On August 12 we release ‘Etiquette’ – the lead single of our upcoming EP! It’s an infectious song that encourages you to groove along. A real feel-good song! Just drop the etiquette and dance on the table!”

Dust Biters – “Progeny”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Vocalist Nick Kinsley trojan-horses his narcissistic past into your ears with catchy hooks and groovy melodies that flirt with both the somber and the rapture and are accompanied by soaring guitars and furious drums. Progeny’s music video depicts the behaviors of a self-indulgent cult leader disenchanted and burdened with his life, inevitably disposing of his harem through ritualistic suicide. The debut record GUILT will be released on 8/12/22 in conjunction with a Kuma’s Corner burger and Metal Monkey beer collaboration.”

Atomic Bronco – “Get You Off My Mind”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist:

Cinemartyr – “No Legacy”

Country: US

Genre: Prog Rock

From the Artist: “If life has its way with us, this is who we might become. Beaten, battered and full of hate. The path of destruction. The path of making “bad” into “worse”. Is there another way? How do we strike a spark in the rain? How do we push towards mutual self-construction? Talk to someone good. Turn on/Tune in/Drop the baggage that no longer serves you. Find the middle path. Rest. Recuperate. Rise. Dance. Make the blood flow. Align your shoulders, stretch back and kick entropy in the balls.”

FEELRS – “Belly”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “In a duplex bedroom lit only by a single blue ceiling fan light, Guitarist Daniel Lavezzo and Vocalist/Guitarist Austin Massirman channeled the birth of the song that would become known as “Belly”. Recorded in that same room DIY style and mixed/produced by Austin, with Bass stylings by Mason Hadley. Belly is the first Feelrs song created/recorded collectively by the band, a departure from all previous records done by Austin alone. It’s a romantic alt rock head banger to shake your feelings to.”

Landon Conrath – “Science Fiction”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “I think this is my favorite song I’ve ever written, and it’s about the worst thing in my life. I wrote this song about depression, which was something I never thought I struggled with until this last year of my life. The line ‘my chemistry owns me’ was really the one that stuck with me the most. I felt like my brain ruled my life in a way that I didn’t agree with. In the chorus when it says, ‘slam the door or tell me that it’s science fiction,’ I basically just wanted people to leave me alone before admitting that my depression was real.”

dwi – “Party4One”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: ““Party4One” is dwi’s celebration of being a loner, a colourful and peculiar mix of alternative, indie rock and pop elements which is invigorating and confident. The track captures dwi’s experience of cabin fever and losing touch with reality, all the while falling in love with himself.”

Les Cooper x Jill Barber – “In The Morning”

Country: Canada

Genre: Folk

From the Artist: “The deeply melodic piece of music incorporates lap steel guitar, rich harmonies from Cooper and Barber, as well as gentle acoustic playing. The song finds Cooper and Barber inhabiting the roles of a couple who still love each other yet are in a relationship that’s breaking down.”

Slaves to Humanity – “I Love It”

Country: US

Genre: Rock

From the Artist: “I love it is this crazy fun party song. While writing it, we wanted people to wanna play this song at parties and just have a bunch of fun to it. We kept kinda pushing that while in the writing process, just to give the song a unique vibe compared to all of our other stuff! With the lyrics, I wanted a chorus that anybody could sing along with. The lyric “I love it” just kinda came to me while working out all the combinations I could have that melody. Nothing really felt right in that spot, until I hit I love it. I sang that line and thought to myself, “what do I love?” And I went with that question and wrote the rest of the song as a feel good party song!”

Junk It – “Screab”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Screab is our punk hit. Three minutes and forty-fucking-three seconds of relentless pace, from the driving force of runaway drummer Mikey to the frenetic stabs (and vague intimations of melody) thrown forth by guitarist James. And the screaming. My god the screaming.”

Zetra – “Float”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Is it better to drift alone far from everything dear, or to force a catacylsmic reunion bathed in fire and death? The story begs a hero, and a hero must return.”

Esore Alle – “Tizer”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “This song is a catchy pop rock song about our frontman’s struggles with his inner dialogue.”

Analog Lab – “Roads”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “”Roads” is the second single from Analog Lab’s Swallow The Sun EP. The song tells a story of a meeting that goes wrong from the start, and the protagonists tries to deal with his emotions inside. It’s meant to takes you down the rabbit hole of low self confidence, and the fight to finding a step back of the ledge.”

Makeout Palace – “I Think We Should Try to Have Kids”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist:”This song is an up tempo pop punk thrasher that keeps up a high intensity through out its quick run time. The lyrics are a subversion of the idea that you just want to have sex with someone and leave as the singer is fantasizing about actually raising a child with their crush”

Mother Culture – “Princess Die”

Country: Australia

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “This song is written about a question, what if all these women in famous songs didn’t want to be in these songs in the first place? What if the things sung about them never came true? It kind of takes away a person’s autonomy when you write them into a song like that and it left me wondering how they might really feel about it. In the chorus ‘Princess Die’ is sung as a play on words to Princess Diana who famously died in a car crash in 1997 and since has had a strange legacy created around her that’s stranger than any fiction. She didn’t want to be famous or in that situation at all, she just wanted to be happy. It’s a heartbreaking story what happened to her, and a real life example of what I was writing about.”
