Todd Binder – “Lions”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Lions is a song about having the courage to face life. With change and death ever-present, Lions leads us on a journey to show that our shared experiences and natural ability to create bring meaning and new adventure. Ultimately, it urges the listener to seek out and savor those connections before it’s too late. Musically, Todd Binder’s most powerful song to date, Lions bursts forth with an epic level of energy, backed with a drum beat on overdrive, an ominous droning bass, subtly-shifting time signatures, and vocal and synth sections that make the track take flight. A call to action and cautionary tale in one! This single was recorded and mixed completely in analog – eschewing modern-day tricks like autotune and copy/paste – at the legendary Tiny Telephone Studio in San Francisco, CA.

Dry Run – “Denied”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: A catchy Grunge / Alt-Rock track built around a hypnotic winding groove, interchanging between a signature 90s Drop-D fuzz-laden chorus and an 80s-inspired melodic verse. Denied pines with yearning and pulses with frustration, culminating in a dark brooding outro that peels away into despondent desperation. No future being bright, no presence of respite, no route to feeling high, no understanding why. Life is full of promise, but the outcome is often denied.

Dan Radin – “Blind”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: A fictional story based on a real couple, the album’s second single, “Blind,” depicts a romantic pair whose seemingly picturesque affection is slowly unraveling behind the scenes following unfaithfulness, lack of attention, and growing apart.

Corella – “Don’t Stop Me”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Don’t Stop Me” is all about escaping from your normal lifestyle and chasing what you’re really passionate about. Being a young person in the UK these days can be a real challenge. It’s easy to fall into a dark place, especially when life feels tough on both an individual and societal level, and it can seem like everything and everyone is working against you and your dreams. “We wanted to remind people that even in the darkest moments, there will always be something to make you smile, and to our fans we wanted that something to be this song. When we play this live, we want to see them lose themselves in the music, even for just a moment; to forget all of life’s problems and stresses, as it’s important to immerse yourself in what gives you that buzz”.

Honeysucker – “Honeydeux”

Country: US

Genre: Indie rock

Words From the Artist/PR: This song is about Tonya. At least I think her name is Tonya. I never got her name but she looked like a Tonya to me. She had a chocolate brown pixie cut and bright red lipstick with a platinum earring in one ear and a gold one in the other. She was dancing with a leather jacket tied around her waist and a vodka soda nestled in her palm (I’m guessing it was a vodka soda because everyone was drinking those at the time, I still don’t know why, they objectively taste like shit). I watched her sashay past me, leaving behind a tantalizing trace of that instantly recognizable scent, Honeydeux. The unmistakeable French perfume lingered for a few seconds before fusing into the communal musk. She weaved through the crowd, eventually settling into a spot on the dance floor among three or four friends. She swayed gracefully but with intention, translating each note, beat and line into a moving picture without spilling one drop of that preposterous clear concoction they call a cocktail. And then there was me. Tipsy, coming down off E. I tossed a few fake glances around the room to see if I could catch her glancing my way from the corner of my eye. No dice. Unfortunate but so it goes. I still had a pretty good night all things considered. Anyway, this song’s about Tonya. I hope she’s doing well.

Pranatricks – “Lights & Machines”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR:  “Planning a return to the inevitability of nature. Away from the impending implosion of expectation. Letting go into the unknown. Trust, Truth, Compassion, and the curtailing of desire are to light the way; welcoming you aboard, heading towards a destination away from the Lights & Machines.” Lights and Machines comes with a peaceful and psychedelic infused video shot in the forest outside the artists home in the Comox Valley. The video is an attempt to elicit the invitation away from the Lights & Machines and back to the irrefutable powers of nature.

Daphne – “Hard to Hold”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Hard to Hold is an emotional roller coaster with powerful rhythmic sections, euphoric guitar tones and swooping vocals. The second single for Daphne in 2023, the band is gearing up for their second EP later this year.

The Graft – “Dead To Me”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie rock

Words From the Artist/PR: The album is a collection of ten songs that are designed to capture one man’s journey through the cyclical minefield of searching for love in London. Unfortunately, heartbreak is never too far away as a break up comes back to haunt him in the album’s lead single Dead to Me. The new album includes their previous singles, ‘Jenny’, ‘Birkenstock, ‘It’s Too Late & It’s Ok.’ and ‘Don’t Mean Much’.

An Overnight Low – “The Exorcist”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “The Exorcist” is the third single from our forthcoming album, Holyhead, which is due out on October 6th. While we’re sure it contains sonic elements that are sure to make your head spin, fear not! This not a song about being possessed; rather, it’s about the process of losing your possessions and how little things seem to matter once you do. Sometimes, though, it takes a little nudge from your neighbor.

Darryl Kissick – “Not Myself”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Darryl Kissick is a songwriter from Regina, Saskatchewan, releasing his third full-length album. Rather than write about personal experiences, he opted to challenge himself and make each song in Goodbye Patterns about something supernatural or paranormal like werewolves, aliens, spirits, time loops and alternate dimensions. “Not Myself” was one of the last songs written for the 11-track album, built around the piano chords. This one is loosely about turning into a werewolf at night. Not meant to be taken too seriously, it’s inspired by the desire to escape the mundanity of day-to-day life and let the id take over.
