Pete Shivers – “Rage”

Country: UK

Genre: Garage Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This song is about a day with my mate being bored and drinking in the seaside town that we live called Southport. In the song ,I am basically writing about observations of that dismal day”

I Wish I Was A Punk Band – “Let It Rest”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: This song was written as I started taking anxiety medication and took significant steps to try and better my mental health. I was often getting caught in ruminations and spirals, and I was working to better evaluate and question some of my mental and emotional habits. The song helped as a way of releasing some of that tension as I worked through and equilibrated to new medications.

GUT HEALTH – “Runaway High”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This song written and stashed away in 2017 by our guitarist, Keith Dusoe. I caught wind of it through conversation during the height of the pandemic. I had only been singing for a few years at this point, and had never sung over this type of music before, but that got me inspired so i asked to throw some ideas over it. So this song is basically how the band started.”

Chasing August – “Echoes”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This is the 2nd release from our upcoming EP. It slams from the off and showcases our depth and maturity as a band.”

Avalon Stone – “Forget You”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Kevin Dietz, a JUNO Award-winning producer, and co writer Taylor Leith of Sierra Pilot, helped Stone shape the single into a heartfelt anthem. Although “Forget You” draws from past breakups, it has become an unintentional soundtrack to Avalon’s current life changes. Addressing misconceptions, Avalon states, “The headlines that say ‘Forget You’ is about my recent breakup couldn’t be further from the truth—it was written almost a year ago.” However, she teases some of her upcoming music will feature deep lyrics that explore her emotional growth over the past year. With plans to release more music in the lead-up to her much-anticipated album Chained, fans can anticipate a series of singles that showcase Avalon’s evocative storytelling, powerful vocals, and experiences that drive her advocacy for mental health.

Counterpart – “Oleander”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Oleander” is the captivating debut release from the sensational New York band, Counterpart. This song delves deep into the complexities of a toxic relationship that you just can’t walk away from. With its raw emotion and powerful lyrics, “Oleander” will strike a chord with anyone who has ever been entangled in the web of love and turmoil.

Candid Faces – “Telephonophobia”

Country: UK

Genre: Post-Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: Telephonophobia is a commentary on the current state of technology and frustrations felt, mainly due to the lack of privacy that big tech companies are normalising these days. It’s surreal to think that a handful of the biggest tech corporations have access to sensitive data about people and it’s something that isn’t discussed as much as it maybe should. There’s a big omniscient elephant in the room that isn’t addressed and the band are glad to have a platform to at least voice some of these feelings!

House of Harm – “Two Kinds”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “The lyrics are written from a place of reflection and weakness,” shares lead singer Michael Rocheford. “It’s a desperate call for things to return to the way they were, imperfections and all.”

Thorslund – “New Light”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: The lyrics focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, the dawn at the end of the night, and acknowledge that sometimes one must shed an old skin, or burn down the past to achieve truer and greater things on top of the ashes.

The Royal Foundry – “I Give Up”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR:  “I Give Up” is a deeply introspective song, written following a devastating house fire that left Beth and Jared Salte to ultimately forge ahead and channel the experience through song. In doing so, the song quickly developed into a reflection of their own journey in life and understanding that the path ahead in work and play will present its challenges, but will ultimately be rewarding.
