dave & i – “feels like…”

Country: US

Genre: Americana

From the Artist: “This song is for the lonely folks. This song is for the individuals wondering what a true loving romantic relationship feels like. . . myself included. This song is about the necessity of slow cold Winters. This song is an ode to change, and to not be afraid of how much time is left. This song is for those who need to know that love is real “when it feels like dancing in the Summertime… that’s when you know.” This song is for the sweet / shy girls and boys out there.”

Yellowboot – “Lost Cause”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “I started writing Lost Cause at 4am on my way to work. The chorus’ lyric came to mind as I reflected on the difference between my current life, and past musical endeavors. I wondered if or where things went wrong and why in the wake of losing my band of the last six years, starting again felt so unachievable.”

Willie Stratton – “Drugstore Dreaming”

Country: Canada

Genre: Americana

From the Artist: “I hope the songs in the album get played on road trips this summer and some memories are made jamming out to them,” said Willie. “And if people wanna dig into it more, the album is about overcoming defeat and moving on from things, which I think is a good thing to meditate on sometimes.”

Loveseat Pete – “Sawyer”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “really fun indie rock track, with a pop feel to it .”

Stardust One – “Someday Soon”

Country: US

Genre: 90s Rock

From the Artist: “Stardust One is a rock band from Miami. They emerged from the heartbreak of divorce, a pinch of global pandemic, and a small dose of career redemption. Their sound is for rock fans who miss big choruses, timeless anthems, and a palpable passion in their music.”

Whiskey’s Wake – “Bloodlust”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “This is a harder track from our new album, “Wake Up, Whiskey”. It hits quick. “

The Terps – “Sober”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “A track about the challenges of growing up and the transition into full fledged adulthood”

The Corvette Sunset – “The Rules”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “”The Rules” is an indie rock/power popped sarcastic ode to heterosexual TV tropes (think Jay and Gloria from Modern Family) and gender norms that result in people posting on the Reddit board “r/relationships” or otherwise making love more complicated than it needs to be.”

The News Can Wait – “Crypt”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “CRYPT is a hard hitting and colorful rock song that brings the listener a complex mixture of sound. The song overall has a blissful, dark, and light vibe all mixed into one.”

Coyote Pond – “Brand New”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist:  “Coyote Pond have audibly conveyed the euphoric rush of finding hope with their newest single, “Brand New.” What begins as a dreamy, synth driven haze that encompasses the feeling of talking to a pretty someone, quickly turns into an adrenaline rush of fuzzed out bass and danceable guitar riffs as your mind starts to ponder: is this is what I’ve been looking for? A fan favorite at shows for a reason, “Brand New” is the perfect injection of energy and color to any indie or alternative playlist.”

Mothman, The Man – “Scott Pilgim Type Beat”

Country: UK

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “This is the first track off of my debut EP ‘The Mothman EP’. The title of this track is pretty on the nose as I was trying to recreate the high octane and energy-filled tracks found on the soundtrack of ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.'”

Caustic Waves – “Invisible Enemy”

Country: UK

Genre: Rock

From the Artist:  “INVISIBLE ENEMY is the 2nd single from CAUSTIC WAVES, the new project from Neil Thomas – a Software Engineer by day, music producer by night (once the kids are asleep). Written in March 2020, lyrically the song captures the initial fear and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s a snapshot of the period when no one really understood what was going on, when people were ordered to stay at home and only leave when absolutely necessary. Shelves were empty due to panic buying, and Covidiots were abusing the supermarket workers trying to carry on with their jobs. The rising daily statistics were frightening, and it felt like there was no end in sight. The overall message of the song is, however, a positive one – “we’ll find a way to make it through…” Musically, it’s an energetic, melodic rock song, with thick crunchy rhythm guitars, driving bass, and hook-laden vocals backed by layers of harmonies. The song is influenced by the alternative metal and post-hardcore bands of the late 90s / early 00s, such as Deftones, Far, Helmet and Kerbdog.”

Research & Development – “Come Now Sally”

Country: Ireland

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “The song is a radio friendly indie/garage rock song which was written about men who take advantage of ‘woke’ culture in order to seduce women. We think the song is really catchy and could fall nicely in the same realm as some British indie bands like Arctic Monkeys or the Libertines and could maybe even be considered a slightly more edgy version of Irish indie bands like the academic. “
