Keegan Powell – “World Awake”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Informing imagery of a militaristic march, “World Awake” was inspired by Dalton Trumbo’s Johnny’s Got His Gun. Powell explains, “The arc of the story and the ultimate fate of Joe, a severely wounded soldier who gets carted around inside a glass box for everyone to see his deranged fate, represents a kind of claustrophobia I can relate to. We all have our own glass box of sorts and the moment in which we penetrate through it can be a real moment of clarity.”

Pulse Park – “Antibody”

Country: Germany

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Antibody is not exactly a political song because it doesn‘t contain a certain message. It‘s more like a description of what it is like to be part of society these days. There is a trend to individualize rather than socialize. If there is anything specific we want to say with this song then it is: identity should not be more important than compassion and solidarity.”

Frederic Anthony – “GO”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “I went to the studio to work on an old demo for fun. It turned into a masterpiece and we’re still shocked about the way it turned out. The back up vocals are from a singer I used to play with back in the day and thought me how to sing. I did the drums guitar and the lead guitarist recorded and mastered it. My bassist and best friend since I was in preschool did the bass. This song is about the ability to keep going. I will be doing a music video and promoting it hard on socials check it out!”

Stephen Peter Rogers – “Let’s Live A Real Life”

Country: US

Genre: Pop Rock

From the Artist: “”Let’s Live a Real Life” is the first single from Stephen Peter Rodgers’s (aka Steve Rodgers, formerly of Mighty Purple) upcoming album, Speck on a Clover.”

Sunday Mourners – “Dance The Inside Out”

Country: US

Genre: Rock

From the Artist: “We wrote and recorded this song in our living room during the covid lockdown. It started as an attempt to write a song in the style of Bo Diddley mixed with Iggy Pop of the Stooges, and ended as a torrid whirlpool of fuzzed-out guitars and Afro-Latin rhythms behind an old-fashioned dance number. You ever hear of the Twist? the Hop? Get hip to the Inside Out”

Loud Forest – “Don’t Go Away”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “The band Loud Forest is based in Los Angeles, CA where Bernard and Rachel Chadwick, a married couple, collaborate out of their experimental project space in Pasadena. Merging elements of alternative rock, Americana, and pop as well as post-punk into their moody, crafted indie rock, their earliest albums won a dedicated fan base and radio attention.”

Sea Girls – “DNA”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Off the back of cementing their second Top 3 record in a row, Sea Girls waste no time in delivering another slice of guitar-driven pop brilliance with brand new single ‘DNA’. After arriving as a special one off limited edition Blue 7″ vinyl for Record Store Day on April 23rd, the track has been added to the record as a special bonus track on all DSPs from today due to overwhelming fan demand.”

Mulberry Sky – “Second Face”

Country: Germany

Genre: Rock

From the Artist: “Harder and with a lot of attention to detail – the new single “Second Face” once again shows a new facet of Mulberry Sky from Bruckmühl in Upper Bavaria. After their first single release “Imperfections” caused quite some attention in the scene, and addressed an important topic, namely the toxic beauty ideals on social media, “Second Face” is now to follow up on it.”

Near Beer – “Yelling At A Dog”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “‘Yelling at a Dog’ was the first song we wrote that felt like a distinctly NEAR BEER tune. It sounds a lot LESS like all of our previous bands—it’s got more 12-string, minor chords, and ‘sure, why not?’ kinds of turns. Lyrically, it’s very much a blender of thirties-band-person anxieties—being broke, being terrified of the future, questioning your life decisions, but still kinda okay with it all. We suppose this is just a variation on the same rock & roll romantic themes we sang about in our twenties, but maybe with higher stakes because the fuck-ups can feel more permanent. Also, we all love dogs.” If we actually saw people yelling at dogs, we’d be pretty bummed. So consider this an anti-yelling-at-dogs song.”

Landon Conrath – “Boulevards”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “I wrote this song on a trip to Nashville when I started dating my girlfriend. I had been toying with the idea of moving there for years, and my girlfriend was just starting to process the idea that she was dating a musician who had a future that was very all over the place. I had no idea where I wanted to be in life, and this song was one of my ways to communicate that feeling. Just the idea that we were signing up to be there for each other and that we were open to the future, but it still carried some emotional agony.”

J. Mann – “AI”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “A.I. is an indie rock song featuring layers of instrumentation including reverb soaked trumpets while posing the question, “What’s more artificial than thought?” The accompanying video plays with the “man vs. machine” concept as J. Mann willingly submits to becoming mechanized.”

Vivienne Wilder – “Jailbird”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Toronto’s Vivienne Wilder’s latest single Jailbird is filled with anxiety, as it challenges codependence, in a sax-rich, Elastica-tinged indie-rocker.”

Jesse Grossi – “The Crown”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “The Crown is a classic California punk/rock song with elements of todays music that give The Crown a tasty blend of genres. The guitar and bass feed off each other as the harmonious vocals and melodies split threw the music giving The Crown a complete & powerful feel!!! The Crown is about the everyday struggles we all go threw as we try to maintain balance in our everyday lives!!!”

Trevor Howlett – “You Don’t Need The Limelight”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “A nostalgic rock song that harkens back to the golden age of rock n’ roll. A catchy melody is the anchor for this radio-friendly ear worm.”

Griffith Frank – “End of the World”

Country: US

Genre: Pop Rock

From the Artist: “This song was inspired by the existential crisis that was 2020 and 2021. Climate change, social unrest, lockdowns, etc etc all made it feel like if it wasnt already the end of the world… we were getting close to it. So during my personal freak out, I looked into the eyes of my aging cat.. and realized if the world was going to end, she wouldn’t be around to see it. And maybe I wouldn’t either. Or maybe I would. Regardless, the idea of this song sprang to life, and I knew I needed make a rocky vibe to the end of times.

Disposable Sociopaths – “The Dreamers”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist:  “This is the first song from our debut EP. It’s an anonymous project using the acoustic-emo-pop medium to tell a story about infidelity, obsession and satan.”
