Present Company – “This Time”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “The slow decay of a long-term relationship can inspire confusing thoughts and feelings about love. This song is a post-punk anthem to address just that. A dark cavern with sparkling synths, a thumping groove, and moody vocals.”

Atlas of the Dogs – “Barely Breathing”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “The song is about my personal struggle with spirituality and leaving the church. as well as the feeling of not being accepted and drowning in these chaotic past few years. The phrase “Barely Breathing” is a nod to COVID as well”

Harvey Jay Dodgson – “For The Love Of It”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: ““‘For The Love Of It’ is a statement about how music should be created and played … for the love of it. Not following a trend, being able to connect with others, not forcing the art for the primary motive of money. The production portrays this. Playful melodies, groups of chanting teens, rough around the edges as a whole – a song to shout out together with your mates. My painting of why I make music for the love of it.’’

Ramener – “Dogs”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

From the Artist: “The song “Dogs” is about loss and dealing with your inner demons, it’s a song about the dark places the mind wanders when alone and faced addiction and similar devils.”

TITUS BANK – “The Way You Love”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “Your new favorite left-of-Pop artist, TITUS BANK can take you from Indie Pop anthem to alternative singer-songwriter ballad seamlessly allowing his prolific songwriting and pristine vocals to shine as the recognizable thread throughout the full range of his sound. His awe-inspiring voice was the cornerstone of Titus’s wildly ambitious 2017 project when he aimed to write, record and release 365 songs throughout the year. He called it the 365 Songwriting Challenge — but by the end of the year, he had only written 185, barely half of his original goal. Even though he fell short of his original goal, 185 songs is still a hell of a lot — that’s a lifetime worth of material for many artists. “

Samuel or Daniel – “Philly”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “‘Philly’ is about all of the strange places your mind and body take you after a breakup when the momentum from the relationship hasn’t fizzled out yet. And it’s about the catharsis that comes with facing that loss of control and leaning into it. You’re falling and you know the bottom is coming and you know it’s going to hurt. But until that bottom comes, you’re almost flying.”

Harm & Ease – “Push and Shove”

Gnarfunkel – “Too Much is Never Too Much”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “‘Too Much is Never Too Much’ is a blues-rock banger about taking life by the horns in every aspect,” says vocalist/guitarist Tyler Lanigan. “The song harkens to the sound of The Sheepdogs and The Black Keys and is great for driving down the highway, the start of an adventurous Saturday, or smashing through a tough workout routine. With catchy soulful lyrics, an infectious chorus, and an over-the-top middle guitar section, ‘Too Much is Never Too Much’ promises to be a rock fan favourite!”

Errorr – “Sixxx”

Country: Sweden

Genre: Rock

From the Artist:  “Sometimes, I write a song and I can’t fully grasp what it is about until long after it is done. I wrote ‘Sixxx’ during the time when Donald Trump’s presidency finally ended and the storming of the white house happened. The song isn’t necessarily about him or about this specific incident, but about the absurdness of the situation. From my perspective as a European citizen, I have witnessed Trump’s presidential career as a youtube ‘best of capitalist system fails’ montage. I was expecting the former president to go from the white house directly to jail and still he spoke about the situation as if he was the winner. I thought it was a funny twist to write it as if it was a song about something hot and sexual, but actually it’s about watching a horrible political leader go down… which can be pretty hot.”

Big Society – “Something We Can Work Out”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Direct from Manchester UK, ‘Something We Can Work Out’ is Big Society’s first song release of 2022. ”
