Said The People – “Simple Mind”

Country: USA

From the Artist: “Simple Mind is a song about a struggle that many people face in their lifetimes. Moving on through life while having lost someone so special to your heart. This song paints a picture of a broken soul in a beautiful light and also represents growth both mentally and spiritually. Sometimes the best thing we can do is let go of the past”

Alex Leggett – “Montreal”

The new EP, “Dark Secrets”, marks a transitional moment for the band with the joining of guitarist Luis Kalil as the new member. It’s set to be released on Feb 4th, 2022. From the Artist: “”Thinking About You” is about breaking up with someone because you know its for the best, but then not being able to get them out of your head.”

Cosmic Crooner – “Refelxopilis”

Country: Netherlands

Genre: Indie Pop

From the Artist: “The follow up to a string of successful singles, Cosmic Crooner continues his alluring thread with another lavished serenade. Leaning into the dogmatic quirks of 70s psychedelia and vintage decorum, Cosmic Crooner has noted that ‘Reflexopolis’ is his most reflective and cheerful piece to date. “

The Flashpot Moments – “Itch”

Country: USA

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist:  “Anthemic guitar shout-along, with stacked production and hints of old skool keyboards.”

Umbrella Man – “A Collection of Pointless Thoughts”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “The track seeks to explore the inner monologue of the singer, laying bare the bad puns and random nonsense that pass through his mind on a daily basis. This was one of the first songs written by the band’s singer, Mac, and so a sense of rawness can be felt both in terms of structure and the off-kilter guitar riff that sets the foundation for the song.”

Frog Eyes – “When You Turn on the Light”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “I never made music when I was 21. I wanted to be a painter. I lived in an apartment with friends in Vancouver, and my room was full of cans of toxic enamel-marine paint. I would wake up at 3:30pm and paint on my bedroom wall, this crazed fresco, a hellish umber landscape that glittered street light reflections from the enamel paint. I had to sleep by my open window because the fumes were atrocious, and I started to deteriorate, but the fresco was really coming along. Some of the roommates were amazing musicians, some of them passed away. I think the song ‘When You Turn on the Light’ describes walking into my bedroom in that apartment.”

China Bears – “Back To How It Was”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: Indie Rock

The Funerals – “Leila”

Country: Germany

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Based on real story about back in the day when we were hanging out with a French/Morocan drug dealer in the beatiful city of Lyon and eventually we learned that she was murdered by another drug gang, she was a very close friend in what we called our Lyon Days where we wrote several songs of the forthcoming album. Basically is a love song about the tragedy of losing your dope supplier.”
