Kid Blank – “A Lonely Place”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This is song about my ongoing battles with depression. It illustrates the idea of Putting on a smile while inside you feel miserable. Feeling good for a while then crashing down. The song ends with how I’m able to cope. With the love of family and friends I’m able to stand up and keep moving forward. I feel like a lot of people who have this issue can relate to this song. The songs bouncy melody in the verse is contrasted with the heavy grinding guitars and whispering voices in the chorus. The bridge at 1:24 takes a turn towards the psychedelic being detached and floating due to medication. A solution that has its own consequences.”

Stubai – “Voyager”

Country: Australia

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Voyager’s thumping space rock wonders what aliens would think if they ever got their tentacles on the golden records attached to NASA’s 1977 space probes, and explores humanity’s odd paradox – even as we reach for the stars, we can’t escape the gravitational pull of our baser instincts. Guitars dripping in distortion, fuzz bass, and pummelling drums launch us on a blistering yet lyrical journey through the solar system. A dubby, psychedelic interlude provides respite, before flinging the listener beyond the heliosphere. Voyager is the title track of Stubai’s first EP, ahead of the release of debut album We Were Here in October.”

Payphones – “I LOSE MY HEAD”

Country: Norway

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “”I LOSE MY HEAD” is a rock-song with lyrics inspired by Cramps-like horror clichés, about someone who literally loses their head because they are nervous around someone they are attracted to; It’s hard to keep your cool when your head is tumbling around on the floor. The song structure is somewhat new-wave inspired, featuring one chord per section, a thumpy staccato bass and a “no chorus” bonehead hook-riff. The sound is very garage rock-inspired, layering multiple guitars and a piano at the climax of the song.”

A Place to Bury Strangers – “You Got Me”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR:  “Every A Place To Bury Strangers album has some sad love songs on it and “You Got Me” is one of the ones from the forthcoming album Synthesizer. This earworm is a track of a photograph from the perfect summer of love, lust, breaking out from the pack and getting lost in the night. In the middle of the track is a field recording from one of those days on the beach as a 747 barrels through the sky overhead.”

Danny Justice – “The Storm”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “The Storm is about the love of creating music while feeling the existential dread of getting older. But still creating music for the pure joy it brings, regardless if it gets heard by a large audience or not.”

This is something they are still dealing with and trying to figure out. “

We Demand Parachutes – “Caramel Macchiato (Chuggy)”
