Pat DiMeo – “On Your Way Back Down”
Country: Canada
Genre: Rock
Words From the Artist: “I wrote a song titled “On Your Way Back Down” a few years ago during one of my many stays in Nashville, TN. The inspiration for this track came to me while I was enjoying drinks with a friend at a local bar. My friend had just met a girl from California that night, and I couldn’t help but imagine the possibilities if they had ended up together. Thus, I turned this thought into a song, with the premise that if they did end up together, it would be their love story. “On Your Way Back Down” is a sentimental Rock song with hints of Country. It’s perfect for driving with the windows down on a hot summer day. The song’s inspiration draws from the musical styles of renowned bands such as Matchbox 20, Kings of Leon, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Train.”

Benevolent & Divine – “Hyacinth”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: ‘Hyacinth’ is a mournful, almost mystical ode to a lost love. Combining intricate guitar patterns, heart-on-sleeve vocals, and a thunderous rhythm section, this bittersweet anthem is instantly enthralling. It is extremely dynamic, going from a whisper to a shout, steadily growing in intensity until the last minutes.

Why Nuts – “Loretta”
Country: Canada
Genre: Pop Rock
Words From the Artist: “This song is our first composition and it’s quite an immature one. It’s about an 83 years-old whore named Loretta. In the song, the guy is just falling in love with her. I hope that it doesn’t disturb you too much.”

The Lungs – “He Said His Name Was Snakes”
Country: US
Genre: Punk
Words From the Artist: “When I first heard this song I began to scribble down words and phrases that seemed to give me connectivity to the music. The ‘Snake Charmer’ phrase came almost immediately. It opened my mind to what the music was telling me. A cautionary tale. A warning shot. That annoying check engine light. That parental advisory sticker. There’s no way of seeing these signs without living through them. First hand experience is the only tell all. Like most people’s journey through life, it starts small and individual worlds are perpetuated by their surroundings. Eventually that moment comes when you begin to realize the larger gears in play that affect both your short term and long term outlook. Beliefs that once were, are now not. Standards once trusted, are now fluid. This is about the bubble pop. A macro look at the current state of trust and truth. A song of caution, a call of self reflection.” – Dylan Howard

Black Hat – “Leave Us”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: ” I just wanted to write a song about selfless-ness and I wanted that song to look/sound like a futuristic clan of people fighting for survival after the apocalypse. The clan is split into teams and “Leave Us” refers to the recognition that one clan is lost or even fatally trapped and, wanting the best for the remainder, begs them to leave and continue on. It features Sophie Brochu (Fauvely) and myself (Ty Thompson) on kind of a “team” of lead vocals.”

Monakis – “White Rabbit”
Country: UK
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: Frontman James explains “White Rabbit is a song for the people who desire escape from their day to day tedious lives. I want the music to tell the story and let the lyrics become ambiguous. Life can make you feel so alone and solemn but also it can always get better, nothing is permanent.”

Bag of Cans – “Hostage At The Dinner Table”
Country: UK
Genre: Indie Rock
Words From the Artist: Bag of Cans are a quintet weaving through the musical ranks on a sound described as “a gloriously surreal mix of old school indie, Weimar Berlin cabaret and Kinks circa Village Green Preservation Society”. Birthed from the effervescent swamp that is Norwich’s music scene in 2017, the band have garnered a reputation as one of the must-see bands in East Anglia with invariably hectic live shows. Sinewy guitar lines glide between a relentless rhythm section and a penchant for indie-pop vocal-harmonies.
