Take a break from the news and debating with your Facebook “friends”, and dive into these new tracks! We’ve got eight tunes and mini-reviews to keep you busy for at least a little while.
The Habits – “Amelia”
We’re kicking off this week’s list with some solid catchy indie pop – plus, an entertaining video. Give the Habits a listen and a watch!
FXRRVST – “Here’s The Key, Don’t Lose It”
We’ve got Canadian duo FXRRVST back on FTS, with a brand new indie pop rock tune – check out the lyric video and take in the message of this great track.
Mr. Gnome – “Golden Daze”
Catchy, with great guitar riffs and memorable vocals – check out the latest from Cleveland duo, Mr. Gnome!
What Haunts You – “Tiger Lily”
Simultaneously heavy and melodic, this song by Tiger Lily is perfect for fans of Circa Survive & Underoath. Give it a spin!
Magick Mountain – “The Creeper”
Best way to describe this band is in their own words: “a fuzzy, female fronted, garage rock/ proto-punk/ psych band from UK”. So good. Really excited to hear more from them.
Timothy Jaromir ft. Vania – “Ghosts”
For something a little more mellow, here’s a new song for you – beautiful vocals and melody, this one has a haunting folky feel. If you like Civil Wars, you’ll dig this.
The Black Clouds – “Photograph”
Considering this was recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 by producer Jack Endino, it’s no surprise that I’m liking this sound a whole hell of a lot. It may be three 3 years old, but hey – I can add what I want to this list. Have a listen, and let me know what you think.
Jeen – “Idols”
This new track from Jeen mixes indie rock and indie pop so well, it reminds me of what a mix between Tegan & Sara and Arcade Fire might sound like, but with its own unique twist. (How’s that for keeping it Canadian?)
