Australian singer-songwriter Jo Davie has had an impressive musical career in a short amount of time, both as a solo artist and as a member of successful bands. She has just released her debut EP, Nothing Comes Free, featuring six indie-folk songs that weave a rich tale through her remarkable songwriting and spellbinding vocals.
The EP kicks off with the subdued yet bright sounds of “Throw Me A Rope”. The vibe of this song is reminiscent of the best days of spring, when the sun is shining, things are blooming, and everything feels hopeful. With her signature gorgeous vocals and vulnerable songwriting, this is peak Jo Davie; ending this collection of songs with a sound that has a feeling of nostalgia, while staying modern and current.
