Chris Pellnat – “We Are Not Robots”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “”We Are Not Robots” has a driving, energetic rock sensibility but with retro sci-fi organ flourishes and big, fun singalong choruses. It originated from a conversation with a friend about how we can’t always be sober, responsible adults. We agreed – sometimes we just want to act like a child.”

Heavy Lungs – “Get Out”

Country: UK

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: “Manic first single ‘Get Out’ comes with the announcement. Matching the abrupt euphoria of the song, the band offer a sharp explainer on the creation process: “Simple riff and gang vocals with a Devo style bridge and a theremin solo. Hell yeah.” With an even more brusque comment on the themes: “Title says it all, a tune about wanting to get out.” Whilst fusing elements of punk, hardcore and noise rock into a crackling sound – and operating at a tempo akin to Keanu Reeves attempting to keep a bus at maximum speed – any viciousness in the sonics is offset by an ever present recourse to humour.”

Lushings – “Tiny Heroes”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR:  “A poignant and heartfelt tribute to the ordinary people caught fighting in extraordinary conflicts – highlighting the shared human yearning for peace amidst the chaos of a conflicted world.”

CROSSTOWN – “Stacy’s Man”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Stacy’s Man is our second single as a band. It incorporates pop-punk, pop-rock, and post-punk sounds. While it is technically referential of the song Stacy’s Mom, it is an original tune, and is more sonically similar to fast-paced songs like “Misery Business” (Paramore), “Brianstorm” (Arctic Monkeys), and “My Number” (Foals)”

Heather Avalon – “Use Me”

Country: Canada

Genre: Pop Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: ““Use Me” was inspired by moments of weakness in regards to an ex-partner. The song showcases that no matter how far removed from someone you may be, being single can get lonely and sometimes, as human beings, we crave the comfort and validation from a person so much that we allow them to use us. “

Shedonist – “Weight of your World”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This song is about rising above the weight of the expectations of others, and freeing yourself to be able to truly be yourself.”

Peter Landi – “Somewhere”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “I had been writing and recording “Somewhere” on my own before I started working with (co-producer/mixing engineer) Tyler Semrick-Palmateer. I thought the song was finished, so I played it for him and he said “This is great, but I think we should send it through my console to warm it up a bit.” It sounded way better, so we ended up doing some more work to it, essentially revamping my polished demo. We re-tracked the vocals at Tyler’s studio, the drums at my studio, and kept all of the guitars I had recorded and the bass part that Ross Miller had sent over. Tyler comes from a heavier musical background, which made my Oasis-inspired song sound like ‘Down on the Upside’ era Soundgarden.”

Lightwatch – “Someday”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This song was written about the relationship between an addict and a loved one, holding onto the hope that someday things will get better. Someday they will see each other the way that they had hoped. It was written by Gary and Trey Nichols, a father and a son.”

The Modbeats – “Fairweather Friends”

Country: US

Genre: Garage Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “With “Fairweather Friends,” The Modbeats further establish themselves as torchbearers of the modern lively rock n’ roll sound of the 1950s through now.”

Wolves on Tape – “Better Off Left Unsaid”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Better Off Left Unsaid is about the uncertainty and self sacrifice that comes with fighting for your dreams”
