The Usual Boys – “French Cops”
Country: Germany
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: It’s a non stop, smack-you-in-the-face Indie Rock anthem. Angular guitars that sound like distant police sirens shriek over a fat, unrelenting rhythm section. Recorded in an abandoned former East German office building in the greyest part of Berlin, this song is the soundtrack of your worst hangxiety flashback.

Dethwish – “delete?”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: “delete? Walks the line between emo rap, hyperpop and like early 2000s style alt rock. I think anyone who likes like Lil Peep/Lil Tracy, deftones or bmth or like hyperpop in general would like this track. Lyrically it’s a song I wrote in a really dark place instead of taking my life it was somewhat of a suicide note that I expressed into lyrics where the idea of a computer asking If I want to delete? Is me asking if I want to keep going. I want to stress really how important mental health is and how it is ok to not be ok with this release.”

Ex-Giant – “Pheasant”
Country: UK
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: Pheasant is the first single recorded with Ex-Giant’s new line-up, blending hypnotic bass and drum lines with interweaving guitar and clarinet textures. Nodding to the British folk-horror tradition, it tells the story of a man’s encounter with nature which leaves him dislocated from time and reality. The song’s fragmented structure mirrors these themes as it builds towards its sonic and narrative crescendo.

Charm School – “Simulacra”
Country: US
Genre: Post-Punk
Words From the Artist: Simulacra is our attempt at skewering the politics of now over a good dance beat. By way of Jean Baudrillard the song addresses our society’s profound sense of disconnection resulting from our constant interaction with fabricated representations of reality. Aka the disquieting fact that these counterfeit depictions of life are increasingly valued over reality itself, and the even more troubling reality that social media companies are profiting handsomely from this exploitative situation.

Retrograde Conversations – “Still You”
Country: UK
Genre: Shoegaze
Words From the Artist: “A blend of Beach House and Fleetwood Mac with lyrics apt for an André Aciman novel; Still You sounds like a soundtrack to any adolescent romance. The music for Still You came about during a time where I was watching a lot of coming-of-age films and television, enjoying the soundtracks and getting drunk alone quite regularly. I was becoming brainwashed by the 80s soft-rock, indie, and electronic music that are all over streaming shows. Whilst messing about with synthesisers, trying to recreate Yazoo synth sounds, I decided to keep layering instruments I had around – electric guitar, bass, drum pads – and the sonic textures became similar to the sounds of the TV shows I was watching. Studio recording began the summer after I originally penned the track, but became under threat due to COVID. A few musician friends joined me in the studio in March 2020 to record some live instruments. A week later, with more tracking to do, the UK lockdown was announced. After being shelved for two years, I revisited the track, completed recordings and production for this release.”

Kit Major – “I Wish U Didn’t Hate Me So Much”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: New Kit Major track – it’s fresh, it’s grunge, it’s punk(ish), it’s a blend of things but it’s cool! Inspired by sounds of Sonic Youth, Pretty Sick, and Amyl & The Sniffers.
