Mister Co. – “Don’t Talk About It”

Country: Australia

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “We wrote Don’t Talk About It while reflecting on the times in our lives where we felt held back and restricted by people who didn’t want us to succeed with our music, our business and our relationship. This was our chance to respond and have our say.”

Marella – “Rock And Roll Phase”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “rock and roll phase was actually the 2nd to last song written for this record in somewhat of a rush. i felt like this record needed one more pop adjacent song, and this one was the most natural for me to write and i finished it within one day.”

Perfect World – “Wrong”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From PR: Wrong is the fourth single by Perfect World, the LA art rock/alt-pop project of songwriter and filmmaker Nathan Castiel. A fuzzy indie rock outburst, Wrong pairs an atypical, shapeshifting structure with Nathan’s off-kilter storytelling and surreal musings. The result is a hook-laden, chaotic reflection on the anxieties of getting older.

Harvey Drive – “Dead Sleepyhead”

Country: US

Genre: Pop Rock

Words From the Artist: “Dead Sleepyhead was written about a woman I have been crushing over who loves taxidermy and preserving dead butterflies in glass cases. Recorded with Shawn Sullivan who laid down that slick guitar solo near the end, and it is yours truly on drums (recorded with 1 take). Arrangement inspired by Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein and My Chemical Romance.”

Wristwatch – “Meds”

Country: US

Genre: Garage Rock

Words From PR: Wristwatch latest offering, the blistering “Meds,” is a raucous dark post-punk dirge with hints of Buzzcocks, The Misfits, Devo, and Hüsker Dü. While “Meds” explores broader avenues of auditory experiences, it firmly remains a testament to the iconic Wristwatch style – the signature malformed backbone filled with distorted punk rock elements, punctuated by scorching guitar leads and tumultuous electronic drumming.

Excuse Me – “Cops”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist: “Ever been so sure of something that even a police chase wouldn’t stop you from pursuing your goal? That’s what cops is all about. We took the gritty wall-of-sound rock of bands like PUP / Wolf Alice and injected it with the spacey sonics of Joy Division. Recorded with Juno-winning producer Dave Falco, And Mastered by Juno-winning engineer Noah Mintz. The Urgent lyrics are matched by a truly energized and locked-in performance.”

Cat Ryan – “Like This”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From PR: Cat Ryan’s latest single, ‘Like This’, is a testament to the band’s exceptional musical talent and frontwoman Mary-Anne’s unique sound and songwriting ability. Originally written during her school days in 2017, this was the first song she ever finished for Cat Ryan, marking a pivotal moment in her songwriting journey. With a melody built originally around a banjo riff that Mary-Anne stumbled upon, ‘Like This’ is a refreshing and emotive track that explores the pain of heartbreak and disappointment. With its angular melodies, layered production and sonic diversity, this song showcases the band’s versatility and songwriting prowess, making it a true gem in Cat Ryan’s discography. ‘Like This’ is just a taste of what listeners can expect from Cat Ryan’s upcoming EP, which promises to be a stunning showcase of their talents.”

Bealby Point – “Coded Personalities”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From PR: Their song “Coded Personalities” is inspired by the struggles that come with communication in a relationship. The song follows the story of a summer crush and the desperation in trying to to be liked, but disguising one’s true intentions to avoid being the first to admit their feelings. Being vulnerable and being honest with someone is much more difficult than beating around the bush. These two people are trying desperately to connect but suffer a communication breakdown that inevitably leads to further self-discovery and the realization that learning more about yourself will help you learn more about others. The title of the song is a reference to the Myers-Briggs personality test which is essentially a quiz that assigns you a combination of letters which make up your personality type. There seems to be a tendency with this test which enables people to rely on their personality type to help them find out who they are as opposed to discovering who they are through honest, authentic communication in their own lives.

Matthew and the Arrogant Sea – “Targets”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: TARGETS is a song about breaking the mold of toxic masculinity. A composition that encapsulates Matthew Gray’s personal journey and the struggles he has faced in a world that often celebrates aggression, bigotry, and dominance. With introspective lyrics and an emotive melody. Matthew says: “we wanted it to be a raw and honest exploration of the human experience, inviting our listeners to reflect on their own encounters with rejection and societal pressures.” This is off of the bands forthcoming LP “If you find yourself floating away” the long awaited follow up to 2018’s “The Glooms Pt 1”

A Beacon School – “Potion”
