Canadian rock mainstays Big Wreck have just released the latest single ahead of their new album due out in October. “Holy Roller” is a fun and relentless riff-heavy track, channeling 80s rock with a modern flair.

Ian Thornley explains of the track: “’Holy Roller’ is a bit of a blitz, a pent up energy release. It’s 80’s inspired fun-rock that is a bit of a departure for us, but we had a great time doing it. In the studio, or live, it can be the same feeling, playing something that detonates the creative tension.

“Holy Roller” is an in-your-face, fast-paced single that immediately brings to mind Van Halen (most notably the DLR years, in my opinion), filled to the brim with huge riffs and driving drums. It’s definitely a different sound for the band, but one that Big Wreck fans are still sure to get on board with. When you listen, listen with the volume way up.

Stay tuned for their new album, The Rest of The Story, out on October 24th on Sonic Unyon Records!
