Kevin Rieth – “Robert Dufresne”

Country: USA

Genre: Pop/Rock

From the Artist: “Robert Dufresne is a whimsical trip, introducing a joyful booking man who dances barefoot in the rain and his friend, Nina from Spain. These characters are inspired by some of the colorful friends I’ve met through my musical career.”

fawn – “Lost Astronaut”

Country: USA

Genre: Alt Rock

From the Artist: “Lost Astronaut is a song about the cycle of overthinking and the effect it has on personal relationships. It starts strong and ends stronger.”

JunkHeap – “To The Stars”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “This song is about the deep human desire to find purpose to our existence, and sometimes finding nothing of purpose is a good”

You Monster You – “Doubt”

Country: USA

Genre: Punk / Pop-Punk

From the Artist: “”Doubt” is certainly our heaviest, fastest and most aggressive song yet. It features unrelenting rock riffs with anthemic chants that lead the listener to an absolutely blistering bridge.

The all too familiar feeling of self-doubt is a lethal and silent killer of potential, and every band faces its soft pull towards the comfort zone. Giving in feels unpretentious but costs you everything when your time on Earth is fleeting. “Doubt” stands as a lyrical assault on our own fears and insecurities as artists and a warning to all who questioned our resolve.”

Springworks – “George”

Country: Canada

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “Springworks is a duo based in Canada. David Beaman and Ryan Rollinson have been playing together and creating songs for as long as they have known one another. They in fact met for the first time on a shared piano, and have been a musical duo ever since.”

Eaglebauer – “Let’s Get ‘Em, Boys!”

Country: USA

Genre: Hard Rock

From the Artist: “about corrupt people taking any opportunity to take advantage of the public”

Elephant Castle – “Quicksand”

Country: USA

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: ““Quicksand” summons quirky piano, 60s organ, and a care-free beat to present an unsuitably chirpy track about people who pull you down.”

The Carbons “Sheepskin”

Country: Canada

Genre: 90s Rock

From the Artist: “A dark-themed Little Red Riding Hood that ends up hunting the wolf in the end…that’s my vision for the music video for Sheepskin. The song always reminds me of a long night in the woods under full moonlight…maybe because that’s somewhat how it was written. People often ask if I start with lyrics or music. In this case, I came up with the bassline first. One night about 6 years ago I put that bassline on a loop in my dingy apartment on Gordon in Kelowna BC Canada. I put on headphones, poured the Cuba Libres, and when the sun came up, I had a full song and luckily no noise complaints. I originally wrote the song for another singer and it wasn’t until months later when I was living in Montreal that I finally figured out how to sing it MY way. One night when I couldn’t sleep, I headed to the park adjacent to my Montreal apartment and I started belting out the song like a wolf under a full moon…or a crazy hobo in a desolate park…you decide. This is the oldest song on the album and it’s the last to be released. It’s for real rock and rollers. Part old-school, part new-school. Enjoy.”

TK Collective – “Loose Ends”

Country: USA

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “”Loose Ends” is about being mentally self destructive, and having low tolerance for people who make those patterns worse. Those who are their own worst critics usually don’t need extra commentators. It’s full of energy and angst, with musical influence from bands like Paramore and Nothing but Thieves.”

The Lagoons – “Long Road to Nowhere”

Country: USA

Genre: Indie Rock

From the Artist: “The lyrics of transcendent single “Long Road To Nowhere” reflect an emotional build-up resolving itself with a more cheerful message as the song goes on. Best summed up in the positive line “heartbeats come alive, as the darkness turns to light, I’m finally on a long road to somewhere,” instilling hope that through hard times, there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
