Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Glasgow/London duo HOLY FOOL’s new single “Ache” is about passion and caring so much about someone so much that it drives you to the edge. It’s essentially an anti-love-song-love-song about tension and the need for release. It previews their debut album due later this year.

The Fourth Wall – “Darkness of Heart”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Return Forever was first inspired by a moment in Agustin’s family history in which he learned that a close relative had left behind a young daughter when she moved to the United States, turning away from her past life and creating one anew. Shocked though he was, Agustin soon became fascinated with the idea of the “poetry of forgetfulness.” “There was almost a way in which the impulse to revise or destroy history became a condition for achieving this joyous state,” he says.

Waterfront – “Atmosphere”

Country: Canada

Genre: Hard Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: The new EP confronts those that take you for granted as an unreciprocated support system while aiming to refocus on yourself, keeping yourself alive, and facing the fears that hold you back.

Leo Sydney – “Matty”

Phantom Sugar – “Habitual”

Country: Canada

Genre: Garage Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: A fuzzy lo-fi guitar driven pop song about being in love with a pathological liar.

Bloody Bananas – “Bad Taste”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Bad Taste switches between dark and pop chords with a dancey payoff in the chorus. When I wrote it, I was feeling dissonance and disenchanted from a bad relationship yet happy to leave all at once.

Middle Part – “Dial *”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Dial *”, is a song tackles depression, suicide, and self-isolation driven by paranoia. The desperate call to a suicide hotline in order to connect with someone and pull oneself out of an endless descent. The chorus signals the realization that death shouldn’t be the option regardless of life’s darkest moments. Selkōw confides, “Lyrically, this song revisits a very particular grim time and serves as an acknowledgement of never wanting to personally return to such a low. The massive weight of the song’s themes are juxtaposed with a familiar pop format.”

Grizfolk – “Paper Cranes”

Country: US

Genre: Americana

Words From the Artist/PR: Grizfolk lean into an uncompromising creative spirit just as closely as they lean on the brotherhood between them. Born in Venice, CA during 2012, Grizfolk musically embody such endlessness. The collective evolved over the course of albums such as Waking Up The Giants, Rarest of Birds, and the self-titled Grizfolk. They’ve toured with the likes of Bastille, Twenty One Pilots, Andrew McMahon, and many more.
