MANA – “Junkyard of Trivialities”
Country: Germany
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist/PR: “According to lyricist Greg Clifford ‘this song is essentially about being on the ropes but not throwing in the towel. Junkyard is a song born out of the fragmented polarised age we reside in. In times of unrest, prejudice and evil we must create and fight the good fight. Art binds, forges communities and transcends cultural divisions and boundaries. This song is our attempt to make sense of the world we reside in; an attempt to find inner peace and push back against the forces that suppress and extinguish illumination’.”

Lazy Queen – “Unemployed, Uninspired”
Country: Norway
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist/PR: “Unemployed, Uninspired is, in my mind, the musical equivalent of screaming fuck-off-and-let-me-self-destruct-in-peace into one’s pillow. We wrote it in 2017 and had it as a regular part of our live-set at the time, but never got around to recording it. Fittingly, I’m back to being unemployed at the moment, so this EP is a natural release for the track to finally appear on. Despite, or perhaps because of, its overt darkness and cynicism, it’s such a fun and cathartic song to play and simply surrender oneself over to. Thematically, it might not be the healthiest mindset, and I’m pretty sure my therapist wouldn’t approve, but sometimes you gotta remember the eternal words of Shrek: “better out than in, I always say”. It also contains the only Norwegian lyrics in Lazy Queen’s catalogue – so we had to get it recorded for posterity. Anyways, anyone hiring?”

XOAN – “High Underwater”
Country: UK
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist/PR: “This track delivers a raw and atmospheric vibe with a laid-back yet heavy presence. It melds modern production elements, including tasteful autotune, with an authentic live band intensity. Its hook is magnetic, evoking the feel of a breakthrough hit from a parallel universe. The lyrics strike with honesty and intrigue. They confront inner tension and elusive moments of self-doubt while hinting at a defiant resilience. Each line paints a vivid picture of emotional struggle and quiet rebellion, inviting you to peel back layers of meaning. The narrative feels like an intimate confession, where every word resonates with the weight of unspoken truths and the subtle power of acceptance.”

Johnny Manchild and the Poor Bastards – “Voluntary Animals”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist/PR: “Written by Johnny Manchild, the song, he says, “is about ego and ignorance, but also the acceptance of how little control we really have to change things in the grand scheme. We seem to think as a species that we’re above everything, when we’re really just another animal running around and trying to comprehend the world. It feels better to accept that we’re just another small piece of everything, and we really aren’t superior in nature at all.”

—
Alex Sandra – “Barbie Girl”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist/PR: “This song is about feeling ashamed of your ethnicity and traits due to bullying and trying to fit in by changing yourself. But over time, you realize your culture and identity are something to be proud of. It’s about breaking free from others’ expectations and fully embracing who you are.”
