Dan Gober – “Stoned Supreme”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “”Stoned Supreme” was a blast to write and record. The arrangement explores different rhythms and textures while keeping it direct and to the point with a big chorus. The turnaround section sets the listener up for the climax of the piece. “Stoned Supreme” comes from the idea of being in your own head. You take up an idea and follow it further down the worm hole. In the end the concept arrives at this beautiful light of clarity.”

The Subway Ghosts – “This Place”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Every record needs a love song, right? This is the second song I wrote for my wife. The first was a sweet acoustic song that went to school on Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers.” This one is falls somewhere between the Hives and the Sonics, and when I sing it I feel like Paul Westerberg screaming his drive-through order during a hurricane. I came up with the lead guitar part when I was still learning how to play guitar. It was a five-second GarageBand file that sat on an old laptop for over a decade because I didn’t know how to turn it into a whole song yet. It’s about finding happiness when the world is falling apart. People are dying. You’re trapped in your Goddamn house for months on end. And you can’t stop smiling. Then it’s back to singing about rats.”

Soot Sprite – “Wield Your Hope Like A Weapon”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “‘Wield Your Hope Like A Weapon’, serves as a rallying cry against apathy. “This struck me so deeply, the idea that if we lose hope we lose our ability to change anything. I tried to make a point to never become jaded to the horrors that persist in the world, even with everything that came since the writing this (the amplified genocide in Palestine by Israel, the persecution of climate protesters here in the UK, megalomaniacs coming back into power). The powers in place depend on us becoming complacent to what they’re doing, so we have to hope for better and organise.” – songwriter Elise Cook

Band of Muses – “Cinnamon”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “More than just a debut, Cinnamon is a doorway into the mythos of Band of Muses. As the song takes effect, it takes listeners on a phantasmagoric trip they’ll never want to come down from. Drenched in Penny-Scarlett’s molten-honey lead vocals, Daisy Rose’s ethereal harmonies and the band’s devil-may-care production style, amplify the intricate allure of Cinnamon with visceral flair. As Cinnamon smolders into a rush of psychedelic euphoria, it’s carried by lush swells of Daisy Rose’s avant-garde instrumentation. “

++ Ultra – “When You Say Jump We Say Too High!”

Country: Canada

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: “Hard, fast, high energy fun punk rock song to nod your head to”

Wooden Crates – “Armband”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: “It’s a punk anthem about fascism”

Bacchanal – “Rare Sunny Day”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “New EP released 9th May. The song talks about chasing someone but never quite catching them. Part of a 7 track EP”

Poets Corner – “She’s Got You Now”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “A couple of us have found ourselves involved with partners who act very frugally themselves while making demands on you to spend out, knowing deep inside that there’s no commitment on their side. You end up feeling like a ‘people pleaser’, hating yourself for giving your power away. This claustrophobic feeling of having no way to escape, while not having the means to please the other party is hinted at in the line ‘all I have is broken wings’. There’s no love in this relationship – just pure stubbornness, greed & ignorance. Otherwise, the track’s pretty special for us as it’s the first song we wrote as a band. We put everything into this song & had a blast doing it”.

Cabin Beat – “No Sympathy”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “This final track is, in stark contrast to the previous track on the single, the most energetic with its high BMP, punky arrangement and politically charged lyrics describing how the elites and nobility of our nation will never truly know the struggles of the poorer folk.”

Collective Fear – “Unbound”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Second track from our split release with Saline – fuzzy 90s throwback w/ a little extra reverb .”
