Creature Canyon – “Give Me Life”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: “‘Give Me Life’ is a high-energy indie rock anthem to pair with your morning coffee to keep energized for the rest of your day.”

Common Crime – “Life Preserver”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “An emotional tune about letting go of heartbreak, and trying to find your way. Drawing large influence from bands like PUP and Rozwell Kid on this one, with big gang vocals and tight guitar harmonies. This tune is just one big journal entry about fighting your way through a heartbreak.”

Millennial Daze – “Teenage Queen”

Country: Italy

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: “The teenage queen sung by the group is the classic fake alternative girl that people fall in love with in high school because she appears mature and better than others, but as she grows up she realizes that the world she has built around herself is made of plastic. The band accompanies her in the realization of this little truth by putting into music the discomfort of those who discover themselves as an empty person and feel lost in life. The pressing and fast rhythm of the song brings back the mold of classic punk rock, but continues their project of research into more contemporary and pop punk sounds.”

Josh Phillips – “How It Is”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “With his newest single, ‘How It Is,’ a hard hitting but contemplative ballad about the end of a relationship, Phillips’ desperate urgency to arrive at acceptance and make sense of it all resonates with the haunted echoes of longing and a melancholy that is universally familiar. This is quite simply a timeless ballad that is sure to become the soundtrack to someone yearning for the same redemption, at the same impasse. The song is the second single off his forthcoming full-length album due for release this summer (July 2024), “Everything’s Good”, recorded in Asheville, NC at his own recording studio, Side House Records. “

Lisa Heller – “Crushing on Straight Girls”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Lisa Heller is an alternative pop artist whose sound is unafraid, honest, and deeply personal. Her goal has always been to shed light on difficult topics so that others would feel less alone. Her new single, “Crushing On Straight Girls,” the first of 5 singles on her debut album, does just that. The single will be released June 7th in celebration of Pride month. This song playfully showcases the idiosyncrasies of exploring bisexuality through an anthemic rock and roll lens.”

Josué Kinter – “Yr Not Safe”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “A post-punk rocker with gazey guitars and a droning groove inspired by the Stooges and early Sonic Youth, YR NOT SAFE is the first single off the upcoming EP “Such Empty Pleasures””

The Origin – “How Did We Survive?”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “How Did We Survive? is a reflection on the experience of growing up and the situations we land in along the way.”

Jesse Heinz – “Over It”

Country: Canada

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist/PR: “Upbeat, guitar-heavy track with lots of feel-changes in the song.”

Zeny Bux – “Better Dreams”

Country: UK

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Better Dreams is a song about finding the right dream without all that is against you. If you want positivity tomorrow, you sleep with better dreams tonight. It’ll take the weight of the world off your shoulders.”

The Out Seer – “Fading”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: “Rooted in a shared commitment to musical growth and exploration, The Out Seer’s journey is marked by a dedication to creating music that is both enjoyable to perform and engaging for listeners. Their song “Fading” captures the essence of a faded friendship of someone who once held a significant place in our lives. Although the absence may initially sting, there’s a comforting realization that with the passage of time, the sharpness of pain diminishes. What remains is a bittersweet memory that eventually fades into the background, allowing us to find closure and move forward.”

Repeat – “Reasons”

Country: Sweden

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist/PR: Repeat is a Swedish stoner rock trio that released their self-titled debut album only a half year ago. They were rewarded with praise by tastemaker media both in Sweden and internationally and now comes the sequel “Rat Race”. Rat Race is the band’s most intense and energetic music to date. The album moves between stoner rock, punk and post-hardcore. Through nine songs in a total of 18 minutes, the band explores several moods and styles. Songs like “Not Enough” and “Man on the Moon” coincide with the melodious focus track “Reasons”. Repeat says: “We prefer the short format and the recording was mostly ‘live’. We’ve put more time into the lyrics and the album is very much a self-reflection. We also wanted to hone in on how it would feel to play the songs live.” After composing the material, the question is answered. The band played in Malmö in front of an enthusiastic audience on May 22 and they have several gigs booked in Sweden. The upcoming album Rat Race received 7/10 in the latest issue of Sweden Rock Magazine (No. 5, 2024) who wrote “quite sweet [songs] where the opening ’Man on the Moon’ with its strong chorus provides a perfect opening on a record that reminds us of Bad Religion, Therapy and Queens of the Stone Age.”
