Alex Nikki and Jokerz Wild – “All My Love”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “With an arsenal of releases in the stash, they are now ready to kick off 2023 with their latest offering, “All My Love”. With Alex Nikki leading the way on vocals, the band crafts a dynamic, high-octane tune that is sure to turn some heads and have listeners patiently waiting for more. Right from the top, “All My Love” hits with ripping guitars, snappy drums and a saucy lead, putting the bands years of experience on display from the first note as they find the perfect balance between technicality and vibe. From beginning to end, Alex Nikki and Jokerz Wild’s new single grabs hold and never lets go.”

Tofu Boy – “PepTalk”

Country: US

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist: If you’ve ever experienced something that made you not want to leave the house, this song is about getting back out there, living your best life and rising above the bullshit. The sound of the record was inspired by Tofu Boy’s passions: engineering / making / retro video games. Listen out for drum sounds and FX created using an 8-bit speech synthesizer, and a Nintendo 2ds – which was in its element laying down the energetic punk percussion on this track.

Wish Mission – “All Fired Up”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Pop

Words From the Artist: This vivacious new duo spend nearly every waking moment in their Seattle studio concocting new sounds. At this very moment, they are probably tirelessly mixing concoctions of retro synthesizers, fuzz guitar, wubby bass, blissfully blended harmonies, and tons of drums into delicious ear candy ripe for the picking. The Wish Mission sound is distilled from a blend of influences ranging from nostalgic doo-wop to modern pop, rootsy americana to synth-y new wave, garage-y guitar rock to slick electronica, with a heavy emphasis on that retro 80s deliciousness. The result is a uniquely bold brand of indie pop that sounds both fresh and timeless.

The Nightmares – “Heartless”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist:  “Life can feel relentless… like you’re constantly fighting against the tide. And after experiencing heartbreak, it’s easy to grow cold. This can often be perceived by others as being heartless. However, the reality is it takes an awful lot to learn to trust again once that bond has been broken. ‘Heartless’ is a song about learning to trust someone again.”

Daisy The Great – “I Don’t Wanna Fall”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Pop

Words From the Artist: This is the new music video for “I Don’t Wanna Fall” from the band’s album ALL YOU NEED IS TIME. The video features footage from across the US on their recent tour.

Mononegatives – “North Carolina Atomic Bomb”

Country: Canada

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist: “North Carolina Atomic Bomb” is the first single from Mononegatives second LP Crossing Visual Field and is everything that makes them so great and unique wrapped up in a perfect three minute package. From the opening synth bass and drum intro to the super catchy chorus – this song is upbeat and driving from start to end. But with the one-of-a-kind Mononegatives sound.

Friends With Boats – “Wrong”

Country: Germany

Genre: Punk

Words From the Artist: 2nd ever single from Friends With Boats from Vancouver (Canada) and Hannover (Germany). Catchy PopSkateMelodicPunk from no sunny coast in particular

Moozy – “Minnesota Seems Nice”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: This is an indie rock song that draws from an experience of being with someone who’s just a bit too much for you. Lyrically, it draws upon the oceanic metaphor of the rough surf vs the calm sound-side at the beach. We self-produced and recorded the tune in a row house in Washington, DC.

Slow Fiction – “Jericho”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “These songs are a culmination of the past two years of our group’s coalescence. We’ve felt a need to explain ourselves in a larger context, and this is our first chance to do it. There are characters throughout the EP that every person has either related to, loved, or hated at some point in their lives. I’ve always loved the quote that ‘good art should make you laugh and cry’ but what about the feeling when you’re crying and laughing at the same time?”

Grady Strange – “Head (Am I Out Of My)”

Country: US

Genre: Indie Rock

Words From the Artist: This song follows a man as he trudges through the anxiety of his monotonous life, while he searches of the meaning of it all. I recorded this song at home to a 4 track tape machine, and we tried to make a sonic portrayal of an anxiety attack, building up to the point of explosion, and then releasing. The song reminds me of a Talking Heads or Devo song with its driving bass line and hectic drums.
