Words From the Artist: basically noting hypocrites that care for no one but themselves and how they think people can’t see them for what they truly are.

Late Night Lies – “Small Town Bullshit”
Country: Australia
Genre: Punk
Words From the Artist: “Up and coming pop punk band Late Night Lies have released their latest single “Small Town Bullshit”, a track about the struggles of growing up in a small town and longing for something more. Filled with a driving guitar riff and (hopefully) relatable lyrics, Small Town Bullshit is a comical take on the feeling of being trapped in the place they grew up. The lyrics hit the core of anyone who hates the idea of working a labor job for $10 an hour, being unable to please their parents, marrying their high school sweetheart who may be a third cousin, and having the local pub as their only form of entertainment. “We’ve all been there – feeling stuck and desperate to break free from mediocrity,” says LNL. “This song is about that feeling and finding the strength to move on and live your own life.”

The Twin Doors – “The Hero & The Villain”
Country: Sweden
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: This is not the classic verse chorus verse kinda song. It got kind of a personal dynamic, it’s almost like a conversation with a stranger that could take a turn any minute.

Nothingheads – “Rat”
Country: UK
Genre: Post-Punk
Words From the Artist: Built around a driving guitar riff, the track is a two minute aural blast of boredom induced paranoia. Recorded by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse studios, it captures the ferocity and rawness of Nothingheads live show. The band say ‘The video explores a character whose reality is conspiracy and paranoia, making frenetic movements at every turn, connecting dots that do not exist but with no idea of how to piece it together.’

You Said Strange – “Control”
Country: France
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: “A second chapter was needed to highlight the many shadows that still linger everywhere,” said the band. “The shadows that linger on the borders, hiding the violence of the fights for them. The shadows that time has on relationships and their persistence, because the shadows move.”

Annie Taylor – “Love Is Blind”
Country: Switzerland
Genre: Indie Rock
Words From the Artist: THE FIRST SINGLE “LOVE IS BLIND” IS A FUZZY, TWO-MINUTE SWELLING OF UNRESTRAINED PUNK FURY THAT KICKS IN WITH A FURIOUS GINI WARNING THE LISTENER “STAY AWAY BEFORE I EXPLODE, ANYTHING COULD MAKE ME OVERLOAD”. IT BUILDS UP TO A POINT WHERE THE CHORUS EXPLODES IN A CLOUD OF DISTORTED STRINGS, DISTORTION AND ACIDIC RAGE. THIS PUNK, 90S-INSPIRED SINGLE, SETS THE TONE FOR ANNIE TAYLOR’S NEW STUDIO ALBUM. WHILE THE ALBUM HAS A SONG FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY EMOTION, ‘LOVE IS BLIND’ IS AN ANGSTY, THRILLING, THRASHY, RAW AND SELF-INDULGENT TRACK – THAT’S ANNIE TAYLOR’S MOST AMUSINGLY HATEFUL SONG ANNOUNCING THEIR SOPHOMORE ALBUM ‘INNER SMILE’.

Cera Gibson – “Mad Dog”
Country: US
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: If fans were expecting another dreamy, romantic ballad after Cera’s last release “Daddy”, Mad Dog is on the opposite end of the spectrum. Set over a guitar driven melody that teeters between surf punk and blues, Cera delivers a story of jealousy and lust.

So Dirty The Flamingos – “Run! If You Can!”
Country: Canada
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: Run! If You Can!! is a fleeting thought that we’re all thinking – that the world is eating itself alive, and all news seems dire. This is not a state of mind – but a thought that we can’t ignore. By the end of the song, when it calms down, so do we, eventually find our way. It will be okay, but we’re allowed to freak out once in a while.

Maximiliano – “Love In The Shadows”
Country: US
Genre: Indie Rock
Words From the Artist: Cinematic energetic rock with a splash of spaghetti western.
—
Mellowship – “Ketuvi”
Country: Canada
Genre: Alt Rock
Words From the Artist: My phone generated a location based name for the initial demo of this song and called the voice memo “Ketuvi” I thought it sounded biblical and decided to write lyrics to describe this word. I explain Ketuvi as the feeling you have when you do or say something to someone you care about and they see you that way forever. Your image to them has been permanently blazoned by that moment and there is nothing you can do about it. You can only accept, learn and move on. The darker/mysterious riff is complimented by hypnotic drums and a feathery melody.
