Lucifers Beard – “Mr Invisible”

Country: UK

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: Mr Invisible is a call out to extroverted behaviour as a means to disguise our true self. Hidden in plain sight! The production process was led by mimicking the core meaning of the song with depth and excitement. Boutique hand wired analogue equipment was used for tracking and mixing. I think analogue equipment is more capable of a truer representation of the recorded source material and hopefully this was achieved with exciting guitar tones, a deep rhythm section and vibrant vocals.

James Beastly – “Dark Horse Dreams”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: With it’s corrosive slash and burn choruses and haunting verses Dark Horse Dreams has Beastly chasing shadows of loss, desire and addiction turning circles through a blinding maze of post-punk tinted gloom, and it couldn’t be more satisfying. Featuring Emily Dolan Davies (The Darkness, Bryan Ferry, Tricky) on drums.

Home At Night – “Texaco”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “I wrote this song from the perspective of an unhealthy relationship that emphasized my addiction, which is somewhat biographical,” Hank says. “The production needed to sound like a release or detachment, hence the dramatic, massive final chorus. I really hope the song can give people comfort and support that they’re not alone in the process of cutting off the habits inhibiting their lives.

Frank Follows – “Silver Skies”

Country: Sweden

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: Frank Follows is the name of Stockholm’s fresh-on-the scene Indie Rock band who are set to release their album ‘Flight Thoughts’ on April 28th. The 10 track debut wraps up the feeling of escape from reality in vulnerable falsettos and dreamy guitars which culminates in the focus track ‘Silver Skies’.The aforementioned song represents a closing thought on the concept of lifting off the ground and escaping into one’s imagination.

Black Masses – “So Long, Sailor”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “It is about being surround by narcissistic, toxic friends pushing you to the brink of your values. Then one day you push back, realize you’re done being pulled down by the negativity and leave it all behind”

Zen Smith – “Plastic Tube to the Moon”

Country: Canada

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “I don’t want to say what this song is about specifically as I feel like that kind of spoils the experience for the listener. I like a little mystery in music! This song is heavily inspired by science fiction. The chords and melody are fairly abstract which I hope creates an unearthly and strange experience.”

Mononegatives – “Bel-Pre”

Country: Canada

Genre: Post-Punk

Words From the Artist: “Bel-Pre was one of the last few songs we wrote for the LP. It might be the most experimental on the entire record, both in sound and style, perhaps it is a sign of things to come? Only time will tell if that is our next direction but for now it exists as a personal favourite on the record.”

Stellar Ruins – “Faded Light”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist:  “Faded Light” is the third upcoming single by Oxnard, California based dreamrock trio Stellar Ruins. Following the critical praise of previous singles “Marina Park” and “Opulence”, “Faded Light” furthers the descension of the prior optimism fueled narrative through a darker lens. A dystopic dirge that is accented by Johnny Rivas’ dynamic, driving drumming, “Faded Light” is complimented with fuzzed out drop tuned guitar tones and distorted vocals by singer/guitarist Christopher Yanez.

Run The Distance – “Scared Money”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “Scared Money” is the debut single from the new midwest alt-rock band ‘Run The Distance’. RTD is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and fronted by Canadian born singer-songwriter Steve Rivers. “Scared Money” is the first of several upcoming singles to be released over the next few months.

The Ability – “Constellations”

Country: US

Genre: Alt Rock

Words From the Artist: “Constellations” is a moving alt rock song about the journey of life. A perfect track for cruising around. Using the spacey imagery of a meteor crashing and a satellite that is spiraling out into the great unknown. And still every time that I look up at the night sky I am reminded how special this is.
